Which brings me to this location. I purchased my new vehicle back in November, January was rolling around in time for me to make my first of many payments. Then the obstacles start popping up. See, I have an account with Wells Fargo, I've had it for over two decades. No matter what I did, their website and app would not recognize me. I figured that since this location is right around the corner from my office I would stop in real quick during my lunchbreak to get this situation figured out and be on my way. Well, as you can tell by the stars given, it did not go quickly and I ended up leaving here without my problem solved. First, it was nothing to do with the employees working. It was the amount of employees they had working. Or maybe I should say the lack of employees working. For a branch that sits in a very busy area of DC near Union Station and not far from the Capitol you would think the staffing would be better. There were only two employees working this day and the waits were too much. When I walked in the guy running the teller counter was attempting to get through customers as fast as he could, however, the customers were throwing him curveballs. I stood there waiting, third in line. But with only one other staff (who was dealing with someone for a business account at her desk) the line wasn't moving. One customer at the teller counter was finally finished, I would be next. Then the customer has six separate deposits to do. Each having to be counted, entered, and completed. At this point, 15 minutes of my lunch had gone by. I stand there patiently waiting my turn. Two more customers come in and the lady that is at the desk with the business account starts to help them...uhh, excuse me, I was here before them. She must of noticed my facial expression because she acknowledged me. I forget sometimes that my face gives me away. She tells me that I can either wait or come back another day. I needed this resolved right now, but I guess I'll just have to figure it out on my own. I came here in hopes that they would be able to click a few buttons and my recognition would be solved. I would be able to use the app or website and not have to come back to a branch. But no luck. I left, I had no more time to spend waiting. I needed assistance with something so simple, but with the lack of staff, made it impossible to resolve. (Don't worry, I got it all resolved in time, but after the due date for my first installment payment). So maybe avoid this branch, unless you have time to spare.

The changes that have been made in recent years have only made it more difficult in managing your accounts and funds. It's not worth it to even continue banking with this institution. Backstory - I had no access to my accounts due to chase no longer offering the option to get a replacement card in bank. When I called customer service about the replacement the guy was not that helpful. He placed the order and I had to demand express shipping for an additional fee for my personal and business accounts, that should be to me in 1-2 business days. Which they weren't by the time I needed access to my funds. The Service that mattered - I entered the bank frustrated because I didn't have access to anything at this point. The bank associate Donna was there to change the experience. Besides a warm and friendly greeting upon entrance, when I explained what occurred and showed her my ID she was quickly able to assist. She even went above and beyond and explained that I do have virtual access to my replacement cards via my phone wallet! She walked me through step by step for both my business and personal accounts. She didn't have to take the time to do this (as the customer service rep on the phone should have when I replaced my card) but none the less she did! She provided empathy and stellar customer service, which is what matters most! Thank you again Donna! You rock!

Because everything is done via "messages", written communications have to be very good, but they weren't. We had numerous questions, usually about documentation requirements. So, we would send a "message" to ask the question and wait, usually at least a day, to get an answer. Sometimes the response was clear and sometimes it wasn't! If not, then we had to send another "message." Consequently, the process drug out much longer than it would have if we had been able to communicate with a person. There has to be a better way of conducting business where loan applications are concerned.
