I want to make all customers and future customers know about the predatory ways of Capital One…read moreCredit Cards. Apparently I wasn't notified of my $39 membership fee in January and was then assessed a $25 past due fee plus interest. In February I was assessed $45 fee plus interest for non-payment. When I was sent a notice from Credit Karma that my credit score dropped 40 points, after having a perfect payment record for the last 10 years, I called Capital One. The young lady got the fee and interest removed for February, however they would not change my credit report nor remove the Jan charge. We are talking about $39 membership fee, for a card I don't use and have had for years. Why don't I use it, because the interest rate 28%. Capital One has no one to speak to except the one person I spoke to on the phone and no Sr manager to speak to. This is pathetic customer service. I have two bank accounts, another card with them and this is how they treat their customers. Oh and if you want to complain to their credit dispute department, you have to send all your personal identity information by US Mail for them to even review it. If you aren't getting the message about how much Capital One sucks, I hope you do now. Closing accounts just makes your credit score worse....

Impeccable, extraordinary, infalliable, inspired…read more That is what the customer service is here. The last time I walked in, I was immediately greeted and was let known that someone was going to help me immediately. The concierge said that he remembered me... which might be true... although I go in to the bank very very rarely. He started conversation he was just so nice. I ended up telling him what I needed ( a replacement check card). While his other associate was busy with a customer, he got the checkcard ready and sat me down to wait. He expedited the process for the associate one I got to him. Just a really kind man. The associate helped me quickly and efficiently. Which was good, cause I had a party to be at and I had no idea that my checkcard was cancelled due to suspicious activity. Overall the customer service at this branch is 5 shooting stars. They obviously care alot about their customers, and it shows in everything they do.

Memories... memories…read more.. This is the Capital One Bank Branch where I opened my most recent checking account. My G-d it's been at least 7 years. No complaints here. Everyone has been nice and they get people in and out quickly. I haven't been here in a while, but the last time I went, they had one of those giant coin machines that you can dunk your hoarded pennies and nickels in. That thing is loud as all get up. But really handy as... you're inside of a bank. This is in the shopping center on Old Georgetown road with the new Not Your Average Joes, Quartermaine, Chipotle, Flippin' Pizza. The parking is pretty good, and if you would like to either celebrate or drink to forget after you to the bank... there's a beer and wine store 2 doors down. I stopped visiting this branch as much as I don't work across the street anymore, but I wouldn't hesitate to stop in and say hi. Everyone's super friendly.

Capital One is the best bank, is everything a bank should be. They are professional, kind, local…read moreand are easy to use, I have all sorts of accounts with them. Everyone is helpful, specially, the bank teller Kelsey Hage in Bethesda MD branch. I purchased a house, needed to wire transfer $70k to another bank. I walked in expecting bank personnel to help me, however I found, I have to do this online by myself. I never did this before, I was very worried about transferring this large amount. Kelsey felt my anxiety, she stepped in and was extremely helpful, got me through this tedious process.

While I waited, one teller hung out in the lobby on the sofa. A bank specialist was talking to a client in an office/private room with the door open. After the specialist put a banking person on his speaker phone, anyone in the lobby could hear the conversation. After 10 minutes, the door was closed. No privacy for that client! Later a bank specialist greeted me. He offered an office in the open space lobby, but I asked for private room to handle my banking needs. He was 10 minutes late. In about 8 minutes, he excused himself to go help the teller. He told me they were understaffed. The manager of this bank was not there. Meanwhile the specialist got into conversation with another person --- a second interruption during my appointment time. I never completed the service I wanted done. The lack of professionalism of the staff was not appreciated. Making an appointment is for someone who wants to spend hours at a bank branch waiting to get a service done that would have taken 20 minutes. I have gone to this branch for 20+ years. The last time I went to this branch was 2.5 months ago when I had another negative experience. Well Fargo Bank needs to train their staff for their different jobs! There was no manager on site. They were understaffed.

Guy looks at me like I'm about to rob the place. And then I ask him if I can just pop in to get some quarters. In the rudest tone he tells me they're closed. I start to say "But.." And he cuts me off and says we're closed. No big deal in the overall situation but that is not how I would expect a bank emplotee to treat a customer, even if you're closed. I opened up another bank account a few months ago. Not sure if I'll cancel Wells Fargo but they seem to do everything worse than my new bank. The only thing they had going for them was location near my apartment. Avoid the overweight guy in the vomit yellow shirt
