They have a sort-of middle person who approaches you as you enter to help direct you to the right place - it often seems like overkill, maybe a little patronizing, but I am sure lots of people enter banks not knowing exactly what to do or who to see. It even has character, such as the security guard who loafs around, cracks jokes and participates in what seems to be a mandatory friendly greeting policy within this branch. They also keep a water bowl out front for thirsty critters. Now if only they handed out glasses of wine to customers... On my last visit, I had to leave a message for a specific employee who was working out of a different branch that day; he called me within the hour! The same person has previously made it clear that it's ok to call his cell, even on the weekend while he was out golfing. I do not like to support the golf habits of bankers, nor do I agree with many of the policies of big banks, but this particular branch glosses over all that bad stuff with admirable expertise.

However, traveling out of state into a place where no physical branch is available, I was out of options on depositing cash and a money order that prohibits mobile depositing. Called the customer service and the guy on the other end told me literally I have to drive 1000 miles to a physical branch to deposit or mail the cash in the envelope along with the money order. That was the only option he gave me and he actually believed that. Are you serious? There is no way those are the only options. That being said, that causes great inconvenience to customers who travel. So frustrating! On top of that, they decided to lock my card when the hotel I'm staying at tried to run it through for a pre-authorization knowing full well there's plenty of funds to cover it. Called them up and explain and they said the card is good to go. Not the case, the card was still locked and declined. What if this happened if I was out of the country? Can you imagine that nightmare that goes along with it. This bank is in the business of intentionally screwing over its customers without remorse. I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere.

Don't not do business with this place. I told my mom to break it…read more My mom send me a wired transfer because they said they don't send checks. The manager did the transfer with every written detail my mom presented. Only to find out he left off a letter so the transfer was rejected with no fees. However this place charged my mom again $35 to resend the transfer after they charged her $35 previous day. Claim they gave her back $18. They should return the full $35 instead. why charge her $35 again to resend? $18+ $35= $53. everything should be returned, my bank didn't hold anything. They still charge her to send the transfer for previous day for an unfinished job cause by a mistake from their end. This place is a a rip off. Then the banker who resent the transfer have to get a younger teller to read over the information because she herself can't see well either, but have a stink attitude. Racist and rude.

This rating is for the whole Citizens Bank chain; it is not particular to this location. For the…read morerecord, I never had any problem specific to the employees at this location; my problems were with the central bureaucracy of the corporation, as I interacted with them through the banking website. I was doing a bank-to-bank fund transfer from Citizens to another bank, and the amount I was transferring was about 60% of my available funds. I set everything up correctly, but there was a glitch in the "behind the scenes" financial system- the transfer was applied TWICE on the target date rather than once. The charge was immediately reversed- again, all "behind the scenes," without my intervention- to fix the error. So in other words, when I looked at my account history later on, it showed two subtractions of the transfer amount from my checking account followed by one re-addition of the transfer amount to my checking account. Even though it was a "behind the scenes" error that had been fixed immediately by some employee in the system, Citizens charged me a $50 overdraft fee. I called and sent letters, pointing out that this obviously wasn't my error, so why was I being charged? They refused to take responsibility for the screw-up, though. I told them I would withdraw the rest of my money and close my account if they didn't waive their incorrect overdraft fee, but they refused to do so, basically saying that regardless of HOW it happened, my account had technically been overdrawn, so I had to pay the fee. Good riddance to them.

They took it out on the 12th for over a year, then suddenly started taking it out on the 7th. We called and no explanation was given. We were told to go online and change the due date. Online information is mediocre at best and there is no way to change the due date. Even if we did, I guarantee they would still take it out early. Almost bounced our checking account twice. Looking to refinance elsewhere just to get away from them.

Just had my truck repossessed because they claimed I was 2months behind when I made a payment every month and literally 2 days before they took it. Called to see what was the deal and what I had to pay to make it current and they wouldn't tell me. They acknowledged the payment made 2 days prior but wouldn't honor it. They said that because the tow company was there they had to take it and then wouldn't accept any payment except the total of the loan in full. Will NEVER recommend them to anyone to finance anything. So on top of the remaining portion of the loan I have repo fee, reclamation fee and storage fee at the yard. Absolutely horrible experience and ive owned numerous trucks, motorcycles and off road machines. This is ridiculous. Never received calls they claimed they called me and never received any letters or notarized letters stating I was behind.

They definitely gave more personalized mom and pop shop vibes while sharing all of the amenities of the two larger entities I bank with. The service was fast, full of coaching and very personable. As my fiancé and I set up a savings account they seemed genuinely interested in more than our finances, but also our story and we were made to feel very comfortable. They also made no assumptions and explained everything we'd have available to us, not suggesting anything before they knew what exactly we wanted. Honestly, only ended up here because Dollar Bank was closed but that now feels very fortuitous

One of my inquires was regarding a promo that I was unsuccessful at obtaining via their website. The banker seemed to not know how to apply it but told me he would contact their support team and get back to me. During this interaction I mentioned the mailing address twice. The banker also did not provide information on when the card would arrive, nor did they shut the door while discussing private information, and they provided incorrect information about the check deposit limits via mobile and ATM. Days went by and the banker still hadn't followed up. I then reached out to customer support, and it took two phones on two separate days to get an answer regarding the promo. I was told it's resolved, though they were unable to provide a confirmation number for our call. I learned the relationship banker that I interacted with is the Branch Manager. Close to two weeks later the Branch Manager still hasn't followed up and my card was addressed to the incorrect address.
