In a day when most of our bank transactions are electronic, who cares about bank branches, right?…read moreWell, you might just need to come into a bank sometime, and I hope for your sake that it is this one! The staff here is excellent. They have a person dedicated to greeting you and allocating someone to your needs. There are always tellers available, and they always have a positive attitude--not just a lack of a negative attitude, but an actual genuine desire to help you. We have our safe deposit box here, and we can always get at it within 5 minutes. They literally rush to find someone with keys. It's remarkable.

I had been a PNC customer since I moved to Pennsylvania in 1998. My first job in PA was with PNC…read moreso that's when I signed up for their banking services. Fast forward to about a year or so ago I received a $1000 deposit from UC to my PNC checking account and I withdrew it to use for whatever reason. I received a second deposit of the same amount and transferred it to another account. After these two transactions, PNC informed me that my account was overdrawn by $1000. I have no idea how I was able to withdraw $1000 from my account if it wasn't in there to begin with. It was deposited and I transferred it. I'm assuming there was a glitch in their system but whatever the heck happened, apparently it was MY fault and not THEIRS. Needless to say, I no longer bank with them. They did not care to understand my side of the story nor would they explain how this happened. I was a loyal and dedicated customer from 1998 - 2025 and this what I get in return. A bad mark on my credit that was PNC's fault. 4

This one is conveniently located in the corner of the Target parking lot at Pelican Place, 3830 Gulf Shores Parkway, Lot 4, with walk-up and drive ATM's  When I retired here a few years ago I had to switch banks and I chose PNC and found they had nice people and super flexible options for banking. Like the savings, checking, and spending account that allows you to manage your funds with no fees. Of course, in addition to personal banking, they also do small business as well as corporate. They do some financial planning stuff for retirement and investment like traditional IRA and Roths plus you can get deeper into investments with mutual funds with PNC investments affiliates, including PNC Wealth Management or PNC Institutional Asset Management. There are over 2000 locations in 25 states from Florida to Massachusetts with 55 locations in Alabama and 7 within 25 miles of my zipcode. It's also super convenient because both our kids live in Pittsburgh, and the bank formerly known as Pittsburgh National Corporation, is perfect for doing needed transactions with them. They also provide online and mobile banking options for convenient access to your accounts on the go. Bottom line: They offer competitive rates on deposits and investments, the people are friendly and knowledgeable but I still have to travel to Foley for a replacement ATM card.  Hours: Mon - Thurs 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Fri - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sat & Sun Closed To learn more about the services offered by PNC Bank in Gulf Shores, visit their website at: https://www.pnc.com/ or check out their Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/pncbank/

After how this bank treated me on online is horrible and now helping me when I call. With an wait time of 20 minutes. I tried for three weeks to setup an account with a outside bank and after I email all the information to them three times. This bank is still not helping me. I recommend switching banks or not using this bank at all.

This rating is for the whole Citizens Bank chain; it is not particular to this location. For the…read morerecord, I never had any problem specific to the employees at this location; my problems were with the central bureaucracy of the corporation, as I interacted with them through the banking website. I was doing a bank-to-bank fund transfer from Citizens to another bank, and the amount I was transferring was about 60% of my available funds. I set everything up correctly, but there was a glitch in the "behind the scenes" financial system- the transfer was applied TWICE on the target date rather than once. The charge was immediately reversed- again, all "behind the scenes," without my intervention- to fix the error. So in other words, when I looked at my account history later on, it showed two subtractions of the transfer amount from my checking account followed by one re-addition of the transfer amount to my checking account. Even though it was a "behind the scenes" error that had been fixed immediately by some employee in the system, Citizens charged me a $50 overdraft fee. I called and sent letters, pointing out that this obviously wasn't my error, so why was I being charged? They refused to take responsibility for the screw-up, though. I told them I would withdraw the rest of my money and close my account if they didn't waive their incorrect overdraft fee, but they refused to do so, basically saying that regardless of HOW it happened, my account had technically been overdrawn, so I had to pay the fee. Good riddance to them.

You transfer money to meet the bonus requirements 3. They block your account NOW THE KICKER ! To unblock your account they require YOU COME IN PERSON TO A BRANCH !!!! More incredible is they only have branches around Pitsburgh PA. So they say now that my account was blocked by them (for no given reason and with money in it), they want me to drive 7 hours from Philadelphia to Pitsburgh and offer no other method to "verify me"... and no other information is given over the phone by any rep. And no other method to contact except I have to drive 7 hours to get access back to MY MONEY that they are holding hostage. We need a CLASS ACTION SUIT against these scammers.

They definitely gave more personalized mom and pop shop vibes while sharing all of the amenities of the two larger entities I bank with. The service was fast, full of coaching and very personable. As my fiancé and I set up a savings account they seemed genuinely interested in more than our finances, but also our story and we were made to feel very comfortable. They also made no assumptions and explained everything we'd have available to us, not suggesting anything before they knew what exactly we wanted. Honestly, only ended up here because Dollar Bank was closed but that now feels very fortuitous
