The branch in Burke Centre has some of the friendliest staff around. Though it is nearly always fast, if you go on a Saturday morning like I did yesterday (1/7/2023) be prepared to wait. And even though I waited it wasn't too bad of a wait at all. This branch shares a parking lot with all the other stores in the strip shopping area (including a Giant grocery). There are even EV charging stations (2) in the parking lot.

They completely shut down access to my checking account so I could not access online banking. Even after spending 45 minutes on the phone with an account specialist they still could not give me access to my account until several days later.They canceled my debit without any notice and Did not send me a new card. I had to actually go to the local branch and wait over 1/2 hr to get a new card. They completely eliminated the Summit online banking experience and replaced it with their own Berke & Herbert interface WHICH SUCKS. The summit online banking user interface was much more sophisticated and easier to use and gave the customer more capabilities for categorization abilities and easy search criteria. This experience is reminiscent of the merger between Wachovia and Wells Fargo which was so disorganized that the bank lost thousands of customers!. If you are considering doing business with Burke and Herbert I recommend you employ the services of another Banking Institution because , Clearly B&H has no idea what customer Service means!

Terrible. This used to be my bank but I moved and am just visiting the area. Maybe I forgot how bad…read morethe service is or maybe I just got a rude rep. Either way, the teller with the short hair sucks. She told me to wait (I was the only one in line) because she was helping people in the drive through which is fine, then when she was available, I told her I had a deposit and she stares at me for a few seconds before saying I should've used the ATM. Excuse me? Do your job and a greeting would've been nice. After completing my deposit, she tells me I should switch my account to something else and tries to sell me something. I say maybe later and she insists I should go sit down to talk with someone. I say I don't live in the area and she can't hear me so she says "what?" all rudely. Anyway, during our little transaction a line actually formed so you'd think rather than trying to sell me something, she should help the next person since she initially told me NOT to wait for a teller anyway. She makes me want to leave boa altogether. If you're thinking about leaving boa, go visit her and you'll definitely close your account!

That day I also transferred 20k into a retirement account with them. I went back in and they wouldn't give me the 10,000 points offer.... so I closed my checking account with them and will soon cancel both the old and new credit cards I have with them. Once the grace period is over, I will pull the retirement account too. I want to bank somewhere my business is worth MORE than their ability to let go of 10,000 "virtual points". This was my last straw of a few run-ins I've had with BOA since I started banking with the company back in 2001. The consultant had such a surprised look on her face when I said it's easy for me to pull my checking account and open one up with another bank and get $100 (the equivalent of 10,000 BOA credit card points) as a sign up bonus for being a new checking account customer. Banks need to weigh their options when being stubborn about stuff that's so simple for them to resolve.

She said before this she had someone coming in within 5 mins but neither of the other 2 managers could answer any questions. Other currencies are available for a fee and must be ordered in advance. Downsides: The ATM sometimes runs out of money after a long weekend. The corner location makes the bank difficult to reach and then exit and return from the same direction.

Wells (Worth Less) Fargo,…read more After a number of significant, rather epic, fails on the part of this Well Fargo office, I find myself in a position where I have no reasonable choice but to end a previously good relationship with the bank. This relationship existed for well over 15 years and across multiple states. I have attempted multiple times to transfer funds via "bill pay" to pay out a trust balance. The system does apparently not allow that. After several unsuccessful attempts, I called tech support and they were unable to correct the situation. Today I went to my nearest WF Bank. The clerk displayed ineptitude, or maybe just laziness, and stated she was not able to help me. The person I was speaking with said "I don't understand what the system is doing and don't know how to fix it." Then she told me to go home and call their 800 number. All this over a "little" $20,000 transaction, and, forget the fact that I have, as she saw and noted, another $50k in other accounts with them. Grrr, Well enough said. I give up on you Wells Fargo. All my accounts with you will be closed as soon as possible. Good bye.
