I don't know how I can excuse myself for not writing this review sooner! Fred's Flooring did an…read moreoutstanding job for our family. Let me sum it all up this way: Excellent communication, quality, and craftsmanship! Job well done! We had temporary flooring in our house after some kitchen water damage. We had asked local online FB groups for recommendations and seen Fred's come up more than once as doing great work. I called and spoke with Michael and got some information from him. We made plans for a estimate of the job and he came out to our house. He was on time, or early and called prior to showing up. Here is where it gets good... Their prices were fair. Maybe not the cheapest, but that's ok. Cheap does not equate to great. Very fair quote. We decided to accept and paid 50 percent up front for flooring they had to order in from their nearby warehouse. Although a day late in confirming it had arrived, they Michael contacted us to let us know our materials had come in to their local shop in Murfreesboro and we made an appointment to start the work. Our family moved all the furniture out of the kitchen for them and when their crew showed up to begin work...guess who also showed up at the same time? MICHAEL! The sales person also came with the crew to inspect once again, check in with us and scope out the project once more. He inspected areas (under the dishwasher and refrigerator) he couldn't see before. He got on his knees and checked it all out. He discussed the project with the crew, said he'd be back to check in later and said goodbye. The crew got to work, tearing out sub-floor, tile backer and going to town on the demo. My ONLY constructive critique was that we were unprepared for the amount of dust...but I should have known better, Lol... Half the crew left to go pick up new sub-floor for the kitchen and the others kept working. Efficiency is their game! The project took two days, as planned and discussed. They worked late the first day to get it all done. Day two was hard work too. Now, we have new sub-floor, no more water damaged issues and they even got rid of a few squeaking floor areas that drove us nuts! Finally, when everything was done, Michael called to check in the next day. With two SMALL concerns, he came by the next day to check it out. All that was needed was a bit of silicone sealant in two areas and done. He had his guys come back out asap. HE personally was there each step of the way. Give the man a raise.... ;-) If you want dependability, honestly and a solid work ethic, give them a call... They cut ZERO corners and our floors look great!

Where else should one go to find places to get good service but Yelp, right? I called a couple of places as this is my elderly neighbor's car I borrow... I have power of attorney over all her legal issues, and basically keep the car the majority of the time... and it's usually HER misplacing the keys. However, this time it was ME. Yikes. Not sure how this happened, and I spent literal hours searching the car itself (thank God it didn't lock itself as it usually does), my apartment and the grounds where I walk my Husky, and notifying the apartment manager to see if anyone had turned them in; unfortunately they had not. I searched coat pockets I hadn't even worn... went through the garbage (oh, the grossiosity!) and even the washer and dryer. Nothing. So, after striking out at the first couple of places I called... it's not easy getting keys cut from a VIN (vehicle identification number)... I called The Lock Shop. Bingo! I spoke with the owner, who was really sweet. He said he didn't normally do what I needed, as it's hard to get the info from dealers... but he'd try. The best thing? He'd only charge me $20! That was for coming to the apartment AND cutting the key! He said he was busy for a couple of hours, but would call me as soon as he was free. As good as his word, he did. He and his lovely wife showed up in their van, loaded with anything and everything they need for locksmithing. As I showed my ID and signed a small agreement form to allow them to do what needed doing, he called the dealer and easily got the info... surprising both of us. It took him no time to cut a key that actually works better than the original! This sweetie DID check under the seats and in the trunk to make sure I didn't miss the keys when I looked... bless him! It never hurts to have an additional set of eyes looking... I highly recommend this hubby and wife team if you need ANY locksmith jobs done. They're awesome people. They do it right, and don't charge outrageous prices. Give 'em a call. You won't be sorry.
