I recently closed on a house and since it was older I needed my windows replaced. I went with…read moreWindow World trying but I guess I shouldn't have. At first, things were going well since I was contacted not even 5 minutes after I sent in my information for a quote on their website, which I was impressed by. I booked an appointment for the quote and was expecting a representative at my house at 6pm on Monday (today) but after 30 minutes of waiting no one showed up. Called Window World, and was told that they don't know why he didn't show up so I was put on hold and after I was put back on, the man who answered the phone, Marty, said that my representative was already at the address and was talking to the customer already, he wasn't. Just to make sure I didn't get confused, I confirmed my address just in case but it was correct so that wasn't the issue. At this point, I was annoyed by the clear miscommunication on there end so I gave Marty a call back and told home that I would just go with someone else since I was on a time crunch to get this dine. He was very understanding and apologized, even though it probably wasn't his fault, but what this told me is that my time clearly wasn't important enough to them. If this is how the QUOTE was going, I couldn't imagine what the actual installation of the windows would have gone. So yeah, don't go with Window World.

I just wanted to share one of my experiences with a local handyman in the Shenango Valley. I…read morecurrently do not live in the valley but my parents still do, I'm 28 hours away (in Austin, TX) and have really been struggling to keep the maintenance up on my parents house from so far away. I was referred to Adam Kahl and his company Kahl Remodeling. First off, Adam seems to do just about anything, he can build a garage, put up fences (which I had him do for my parents) to building handicap ramps (which he is also going to do for us), windows and more. Being 28 hours away and entrusting my elderly parents into someone's care was a concern for me, Adam did an incredible job on the fence, I was beyond impressed. He is fast, trustworthy, more than fair in his pricing and goes above and beyond to do the best. I was so impressed with his service I felt the need to write this review; he is the man to go to for construction in Mercer County. I can't say enough about him and I plan on using him from now on for all of the repairs/remodeling on my parents house. Had to share! good help is hard to find!

Once he got here it took him 6 hours to fix our mess because he had to remove and replace deck boards and everything else in sub zero temperatures. When he was all done he stuck by his original quote which was ludacris to me after all his time here. He is very meticulous and neat. You won't find a more honest contractor, believe me we've been taken by a few before. I highly recommend him!

Extremely courteous and thoughtful crew, left worksite immaculate every evening. Treated us and our property with respect. Owner Karl was present on job several times. They had a very full schedule, yet the time and attention given to our job never suffered. There was no rush to finish, and every detail was handled perfectly. After the extremes of temperatures we have seen this winter, the siding looks perfect.

Had a roof replaced by Shell after a hail storm in 2025. The work was completed except for the…read morereplacement of a chimney cap that was damaged in the hail. The project manager made several attempts to replace it himself and ended up replacing by putting on a 4" cap for a 6" vent pipe. I'm hope the roof was installed correctly since it is proven I will not be able to get Shell to fix any problems with their work.

Negative Stars! We…read morehired Shell Restoration to replace our roof and gutters less than a year ago, and our experience has been extremely disappointing. The company made several basic and serious errors, including failing to properly vent our attic, which has since contributed to water damage inside our home. In addition, we were sold a warranty that ultimately did not meet the criteria for the work that was actually performed. We were also told that an Owens Corning representative would be present throughout the installation process, yet no representative showed up on any of the days the work was completed. When we escalated our concerns and shared the damage their work has caused to our home, no one from management reached out to us or came to our home to assess the situation. The lack of follow-up or accountability after payment was made has been extremely frustrating and, in our experience, shows a clear disregard for resolving issues once the job is complete. I'm sharing this because if you are considering using Shell Restoration for a new roof or gutters, I strongly encourage you to research other options before hiring this company.
