When we arrived at the shop we felt welcome by all members of the team and the vibe felt like a safe space for us. Eli gave us a sense of calm, like there was no rush. Eli communicated well about the preparation process, and took our design and made it something even better than we had originally imagined. After we left, we both agreed that both his friendliness and professionalism made the session and interactions all positive. So we came away with, both, tattoos as well as a positive experience and memory. After 25 years of friendship (since junior high) this is our third tattoo together, and it was a single line tattoo of four instruments that Eli, brought to reality in the best way possible. Spent so much money on three different piercings here and customer jewelry - over $500. I asked for…read moreone of the piercing to be changed because the placement of it was not what I asked for. I got three piercings at once and we were very thorough on the first two but then the third placement was marked but not reviewed as we went back and forth on the first two piercing placements and she didn't check if I liked the marking of the third before piercing. I asked them to change the third piercing at the follow up appointment they scheduled less than 2 weeks later and they said it would be an additional $70 minimum to change the placement an need to buy new jewelry for it. Disappointed after I spent over $500 there and was rushed through it. Wanted to like this place but did not personally have a good experience. Called two other spots who said they'd do it with the same jewlery and 20% discount on the new piercing cuz of my shitty experience at sanctuary. Poor customer service

Katy the shop manager was a kick in the pants and had us all laughing! Kirsten Holliday was tattooing someone at the same time and told us some great stories! I got a flower bundle (rose, eucalyptus and ghost fern) wrapped around my forearm and it looks awesome! I do not have the time to go into all the negative experiences I've had with my other tats and the artists who did them but this shop is high class with down to earth real artists! I felt very fortunate to be able to commission a watercolor from Alice during the pandemic to help support those with businesses who had had to close. The watercolor she completed was amazing and I had it professionally framed. When some of the Covid restrictions lifted and I was able to get the first tattoo of the water color competed. I had that done on my lower left forearm. Alice has amazing detail and an eye for color and my tattoo looks as fresh as it did from the day I got it done. I was so in love with that piece I was able to submit my next request and and was lucky enough to get on the books. That is the upper arm piece in the second series of photos. I am hopeful that I will get a third piece either by Alice or one of the other fabulous artists there again soon!

So much so that I travel from New Orleans at least once a year to continue work on my piece. I interviewed multiple artists across Portland before choosing Drat to go on this wild self-reclamation journey with me. He was the most considerate, understanding, and ethical person I met. Having said all that, I highly recommend both Drat and the Ever True shop for work large or small. The space is impeccably clean, and I am ADAMANT about cleanliness, especially in tattoo shops. I have topical allergies and Drat is accommodating for that as well, with zero hassle. Also, I feel completely safe and protected, which is imperative considering the intimate and vulnerable placement of my work. The lack of respect for my time was unbelievable. This was the last time I went to him. It's been many years since then and I found that most of the tattoos I've gotten from here have been tattoos I have covered up. What a waste of time and money it's been. Had I just done a little bit more research I would have found plenty of shops with better artists and vibes. If you'd like your tattooer to act like he is all that and get over charged for mediocre tattoos that at best mimic real Japanese art then Drat is the guy for ya.

My husband and I had passed this shop a few times and liked the way it looked. We briefly looked online at the artist's work on Wednesday and decided the style did suit us best. We headed to the shop, no appointment and thought let's see what happens. We walked in, greeted by a couple people inside and I told him I wanted a rose tattoo on my forearm, I didn't have an appointment. He went to the back to get the tattoo artist, Jessica, and we talked. It was easy since it wasn't this huge piece, just a rose. She drew one up, and I noticed a piece on the wall that I loved. I mentioned it to her when she came back, and it turned out to be hers! She drew a beautiful rose, no stem. I wanted olive colored leaves and we went with the two-toned colored rose and took just about an hour. I am so in love with the finished product, I will definitely be back to see her for my next piece.

I initially chose Daela because I had an excellent experience with their laser treatments. Before…read morethis most recent visit, I had actually received injectable treatments there on two separate occasions with no noticeable results. However, because I was so impressed with the laser side of the practice, I wanted all of my cosmetic treatments in one place. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, believing perhaps the previous injectables had simply been an isolated experience. Unfortunately, after my third injectable treatment, I once again saw absolutely no visible improvement. From the moment I arrived, the appointment felt rushed rather than welcoming. No numbing cream was offered before the procedure, making the injections more uncomfortable than necessary. Upon asking for some numbing cream, while I was speaking, a foam-like substance was placed on my lips that went into my mouth, leaving an unpleasant taste and numbing the inside of my whole mouth. The entire appointment lasted only about 15 minutes, leaving me questioning how thoroughly the treatment had been performed. Most concerning was the outcome. There was absolutely no visible change whatsoever in the specific areas I requested to be treated, not even a subtle improvement. After three injectable appointments with no noticeable results, I felt compelled to share my honest experience and initially left a one-star review. Shortly afterward, Lina, one of the owners, reached out to discuss my concerns. My husband spoke on my behalf. During that conversation, I genuinely felt she heard my concerns. She offered complimentary laser treatments as a goodwill gesture, and I appreciated what I believed was a sincere effort to make things right. Because I felt my concerns had been acknowledged, I voluntarily removed my original one star review and replaced it with a four-star review. I did this because I wanted my review to reflect not only my disappointing injectable experience, but also the fact that I believed the business cared enough to address it. Unfortunately, that goodwill did not last. My husband then began receiving repeated harassing text messages telling him that I would not be allowed to use the complimentary laser treatments unless I changed my review again, this time to a perfect five-star review. He was told my account would be flagged and the complimentary treatments would not be honored until I rewrote the review to their satisfaction. That crossed a line for me. Reviews should reflect a customer's genuine experience, not be influenced by pressure or conditioned on receiving services. I could not honestly write a five-star review because it simply was not true. Money has never been the issue. I am happy to pay for excellent cosmetic treatments and exceptional results. What I cannot accept is paying for injectable treatments that produced no visible improvement and then feeling pressured to change my honest review in exchange for services that had already been offered as a gesture of goodwill. A medical spa should be a place where you feel pampered, cared for, respected, and confident in the treatments you receive. Instead, I found myself having to defend my experience, explain why I was disappointed despite seeing no results, and ultimately defend my right to leave an honest review. I appreciate that the owner initially reached out and attempted to resolve the situation. However, the subsequent pressure to change my review fundamentally changed how I viewed the entire experience. For that reason, this review reflects my experience in its entirety. I will be reporting Daela to the Oregon Medical board that regulates medical spas. I have decided to take my business elsewhere. There are many excellent providers for injectables and laser treatments, and I believe every patient deserves quality results, respectful treatment, and the freedom to leave an honest review without feeling pressured or manipulated.

Cari often donates tattoos to various local raffles and I was a recipient of a free 1hour tattoo! This was my first professional tattoo experience and Cari was extremely responsive to my emails, answering all my questions and allowing me to move at my own pace to schedule the tattoo. Scheduling the tattoo was easy and convenient via a link Cari emailed me. During my time in the chair, I found our conversation to be friendly and free-flowing, which eased my anxiety. Cari applied a topical numbing spray to the area I was getting tattooed and it was such a mind-blowing experience to literally not feel any pain! Aftercare was so easy, Cari having applied a "Second Skin" Saniderm type bandage to the tattoo. After a week, I peeled the bandage off, guided by Cari's after-care instructions, and voila! My tattoo! Clean lines, my reference image recreated beautifully and within an hour! Cari also guarantees their work(sorry, I forgot to ask pronouns!), touching up anything that needs it for free! Cari's partner designs products for Witchwood apparel at the front of the shop and it is a MUST while you're there! After my tattoo appointment I bought an awesome pair of sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, incense, and candy! I even brought my friend coming to meet me for lunch into the shop so they could check out Witchwood and they loved it too! There are also candles and tarot cards, a very cool place run by very cool people!
