    All the good stuff !

Everyone here is SO kind and helpful , even though it's the day before day Tuesday they had a healthy supply of throws and other things to choose from , the ladies at checkout were super sweet even with the constant crowds coming in to purchase items , Kayla , Stacy and I believe deshay ( her name ended with Shay and she was right next to Kayla ) Stacy was a sweetheart too and let me know I could order online for any of my needs

Love this place! I'm like a kid in a candy store, even when we're not rolling. Some of the items are a little pricier if you're the type to shop around, but the SELECTION is 5* and worth it to get everything in one spot. They refresh the stock constantly. They also keep up with the latest items that are trending, krewe specific items, and party supplies. ***Please add Tulane themed/colors/items? We were left with only blue & green glass beads.

A dear duo of friends announced wonderful news and a (very ;) impromptu plan to celebrate BIG time on Fat Tuesday. I knew my family would be out of town and will miss their nuptials but wanted to find some Mardi Gras treasures since they plan to celebrate their anniversary each year on Fat Tuesday- not worrying about the date. A friend recently called me from Plush appeal- we were helping a Themis friend with their throws- and said she found all of the things that we needed- and looked forward to returning... After my friend's announcement- I headed to Plush Appeal first thing the next morning hoping they still had some MG stuff left. I was pleasantly surprised and they truly seem have it ALL. ! I found everything that they wanted (second line umbrellas ) and many things that will just add a bit of lagniappe for their special day. A woman asked me if I needed help- I said no at first- then ended up having her help me go through my chosen items to see if I had found the best items. I am so grateful for her expertise- especially since she is the Vice President- and probably has plenty of other things to do rather than stop and help me. I can't thank her enough for all of the extra special attention. I will definitely be back and plan to tell all of my family and friends too! Thanks so much, Alyssa!

I am definitely happy to Rate this a 4 star after looking for my own affordable throws and trinkets. I love that the Zulu coconut has a variety selection tion of Gold/Silver/Black!!! In addition you have choice of stuffed animals and beds and other signature throws depending on the krewe or theme your parade is going for!

This is the best place for Mardi Gras beads and a lot more. The prices are good and the staff is very helpful.

The staff is always helpful although they've probably answered the same questions a dozen times.

Prices are great - selection is plentiful. They are constantly restocking. My only complaint would be the lines are sometimes long.

They should rename it Karens 'R Us. The managers were beyond rude and unprofessional when ringing up my friend and her mother.

I have started coming here from Mobile, where we started Mardi Gras, to find unique throws that are not beads.

When I worked at a Pandora store in Chicago several years ago, I was made aware that every city has their exclusive charms, and I knew I needed a New Orleans one. The sales associate with red hair (she never gave me her name) who helped us was really sweet, it didn't take long for her to notice that I needed some help, and she even left the charms out for me to look/touch while she went to grab her glasses. I can appreciate her for trusting that I wouldn't walk right out the store with the product, and the one charm that caught my eye was the Cathedral with a blue backdrop. She was sweet to explain to us that the cathedral is right around the corner just walking distance from the shop, and we actually saw it right by Jackson Square on our way to Bungalows. I love how this is a boutique but they also carry so many different brands of jewelry (Alex & Ani, Brighton, etc), and they had a designated Pandora section that's visible right when you enter. I'd recommend Bungalows to anyone in the area looking for some Pandora charms or a boutique.

Then I found out from the shop attendant that the state flower of Louisiana is the Magnolia! What??? My boyfriend's mom was born & raised in NOLA and loved our dog. She has been gone for a year and half, so finding this out strangely makes me feel connected to her and that she is still around. :*) Anyway, the sweet shop guy asked me to tell him the story of how my dog and I found each other. I recounted the tale of how I found her at PAWS Chicago, where she came from originally (Oklahoma), that she had a brother named "Steel", how she saved me from a life of stress, and then our connection to NOLA. I always appreciate when someone can create a warm and fuzzy moment. So thank you, Shop Guy! The collar is high quality all around - material and construction. I have purchased MANY custom collars for my baby girl and this has been the best so far. It's worth the money because I know it will last for a long time. I will be checking out their website for Christmas gift ideas since we won't be back until next year!

I'll probably be heading back to the online store for more gifts for upcoming birthdays. Fans of LSU, Bama, Tulane, SMU (oddly), Florida and other southern colleges can find some neat things here, too. NOLA Couture even can do custom designs for you (your school, business logo, etc.), and shipping is free for orders over $65. Prices are not cheap (ranging from $10 for a laser etched glass to $95 for a loomed scarf), but the quality of the all the goods appears solid. If you are looking for $10 T-shirts about drinking on Bourbon, this isn't your shop, but then you knew that!
