I have always had a nice, relaxing time here…read more Choi's is a cozy, men's only Korean-style spa. Upon check in, you leave your shoes at the entrance. You are given two towels and keys to a locker. The facility is on the smaller side -- there are about 30 lockers, two jacuzzi tubs, a steam room, a sauna, and a shower area. There is also a lounge area with a vending machine, some leather couches, and a large screen television. While the space isn't fancy, I found it to be clean and well maintained. There are other rooms in the facility where you can get a massage and/or reflexology treatments, etc. The friendly staff appears to be all Korean women -- I've received massages from a few of them -- fantastic each time. The massages were strong and thorough. Like most Korean-style spas, everyone is nude in the wet areas -- although if one were shy, nobody would stop you from wearing a bathing suit. This is a gay-friendly establishment (with a sign at the front desk indicating as such), and I would bet a large percentage of the patrons are bi/gay men. If that is an issue for you, then this is probably not the place for you. Speaking of the patrons, on all my visits, I found everyone to be respectful and civil. People are here primarily to relax, and maybe, perhaps meet a new friend. Larger cities tend to have a few of these kinds of spas, but this appears to be the only one in Boston. I'm glad it's here. I've found it to be a lovely sanctuary, particularly during a cold New England winter.

The two rules you should advise by one bring shower shoes and two. I highly advise that you be over the age of 21 since it will give you enough wiggle room too enter the sauna. Since you have the age of 18.

I visited Holistic Spa on December 31st and had such a wonderful experience. The service was excellent from start to finish. Everything felt very relaxing, professional, and thoughtfully done. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, exactly what you need to fully unwind. As a lovely New Year's surprise, they even gave me a bottle of wine at the end, wishing me a Happy New Year -- such a thoughtful and kind gesture that made the experience even more special. I highly recommend this place if you're in Boston or just passing through and need to relax and recharge. I will definitely be back!

They are super reasonably priced for the services they offer. You start in a eucalyptus steam room then you get a body scrub (this i wasnt exactly prepared for its definitely a different experience) and then you move on to a dry sauna. After all this prep you move on to the actual massage. Im not sure how such a small woman was able to apply so much pressure (i asked for hard) or how she tossed me around so easily but she definitely got all the knots out that I didnt even know I had. She walked on my back which was another new experience for me (you can opt out of it) and again used her feet better than some places use there hands to find the areas that really need it. Every step of the way they explain what youre getting into and say you can cut anything short that isnt for you. Also most importantly the place was super clean. I will definitely be back and with this price point it will be more often than i thought possible.
