Now my mother brought me up not to be greedy - but markets have an effect on me, especially plant stalls, silver, faric and leather goods. There is every thing from bongs to veggies, bags to embridery threads, arts and crafts, gosh probably a beer stall too. Most of the vendors are very friendly - I always find plant sellers are on my planet! Some are a little indifferent but at least that's not going to ruin the fun. You don't need to leave lots of dosh behind, browsing is fun. And theres a couple of good pubs just nearby!

However it seems in recent years the turnover of shops has been quite high with shops often opening and closing and being replaced with other shops quite quickly That said its often interesting to see what shop next fills the gaps. The market contains a wide range of goods and the stall holders are always friendly and can answer my questions. There is a stall selling all types of material, the music one, one selling smoking implements and lots more. I enjoy looking round the music exchange one becaus you never know what to expect!

There are independent shops such as the pet shop, health food etc. There is Boswells coffee shop in the centre and that makes the whole shopping centre appealling. The large Tesco Metro which took Somerfields place is the end of the shopping centre. The car park to access this centre is below the shopping centre and allows 1 hour parking for 50p. This is the only car park that still allows this. You can wheel your tesco trolley right down to your car and leave it in the car park trolley bay. So 5 stars for this shopping centre.

St David's is a large mall in the centre of Cardiff, I was quite a regular here, coming here…read moreevery-day on my weekend in Cardiff, mainly because of the large selection of shops to browse, and even places to grab something for eat to drink and it being just minutes away on foot from the Hilton hotel, which I stayed at throughout my trip to the welsh capital. This mall is huge, it is split into two parts including a bridge to a large John Lewis store, which is over 4 floors in this mall, with two having direct enterences into both floors of the mall, although just being attached by a bridge in some aspects, it is its' own place, so it is able to have more floors than the mall itself and is one of the anchor stores for the mall. The mall did open in 1991, but does feel more modern than that, apart from a few aspects, such as the lifts which are well hidden down a passageway which doesn't seem very nice, and does feel one of the older parts of the mall, which is very different, in a negative way compared to what other malls do, such as Manchester Arndale and The Trafford Centre which both have nice, glass lifts in the middle of the wall, making it seem welcoming and not the opposite. There are 203 stores here, with a whopping 5 anchor tenants, which include a large Primark store, which is also over 4 floors as I recall, John Lewis as previously mentioned, a large Debenhams store, at the other side to John Lewis as well as Marks and Spencer, and Boots. An interesting fact is that the John Lewis located here, is the largest branch the company have outside of London and was the first ever branch to open in Wales, back in 2009. Its' also worth noting, that both floors are quite big, with the upper floor being a little smaller, however the upper floor seems to be filled with larger stores such as H&M, Apple and Paperchase, to name just a few. These stores just seen huge stores, you wouldn't normally expect to find in a mall. This mall is really nice, and is huge and is really nice to go with the Cardiff high street, I can't help but notice a supermarket of some kind would fit into to this store such as a Waitrose store, which is owned by John Lewis to join the anchors of this mall however I sadly feel I can't go over 2 stars, with two big issues stopping me, such as the mall being split into two parts making it confusing, and hard to navigate around even after multiple visits, another big issue is the problem with the lifts, not seeming nice and seeming one of the old things about this mall, there is a small food-court on both floors called "East-side" with many cuisine types, but this doesn't really stand out and is just average its-self.

Angel Place seemed pretty modern back in the 80's and it hasn't really been updated since then the flags and signs outside are faded and the plants outside are usually dead looking! The centre is on 2 levels with glass lifts up to the toilets and car parks. Shops in Angel place include Iceland, Wilkinson's, Adams, Superdrug, a Card Warehouse. The centre also has a shauls bakery and a cafe called Angels Cafe

There are loads and loads of shops in the Quadrant like HMV, Game , W H smiths , Clinton cards and Debenhams. It can get pretty packed out with shoppers at peak times and especially with the run up to christmas. At christmas there is usually a lovely christmas tree with lots of decorations which make it look really nice. The shopping centre always looks clean and tidy and you will always find a cleaner pottering around.

Shops you find in every town in Britain. The Quadrant itself is quite pleasant though, it has a predominently glass roof which allows it to be very bright and airy inside. There's a gallery cafe which looks out on to the main concourse of the shopping centre which is great for people watching. The bus station also comes out of one end, so finding it is very easy, and also you won't have far to carry bags to get a bus. Or even to get to your car if you choose to park in the NCP which also adjoins the Quadrant. You can also get to Swansea Market via an entrance in the Quadrant. The largest store by far is Debehams, which is a large department store and takes up almost an entire wing of its own. ANECDOTE: I was sick on the doors of Debehams one Christmas as I was shopping for presents and very rapidly came down with a virus. There are public toilets (free) upstairs which are clean and well maintained. The buidling is decorated according to the seasons, and a large Christmas tree is the focus during the winter.

We were staying across the street at the Future Inn and on the evening we arrived, we strolled over to take a quick peek at the adventures I would be exploring the next day. Much to my surprise, pleasure and happiness, there was a Pret right there as soon as we walked in! Breakfast at the hotel was on the pricey side so we knew where we'd be coming in the morning and we certainly needed to get fueled up for a day of shopping! CC has lots of high end, brand name stores and with even more shops beyond the boundaries of CC, this made for a lovely day of retail therapy. My poor husband... oh well, at least they had an Apple store for him. ;)

I often find the Reiss discounts are some of the best for the quality you're getting. They also have a good food court with fast food and some nicer places like Wagamama. The Cadbury's store is great if you're looking for bags of mini chocolates. My best friend loves strawberry creams and they sometimes have entire bags of just them. At Christmas they have some great items too, but not very heavily discounted. Nice place to walk around and a great shopping centre for wedding outfits etc.
