The staff, especially when Ashley is in there, are helpful and friendly and they do actually get more people to the tills when there's a queue. Mostly you can pull up right into their little car park no problem. Gets a tad busier at lunch times and when school lets out. And joy - they open 'til 10 every night. The own brand chocolate cake is to die for - be sure to try it before you die.

Additionally they're not particularly great when it comes to stocking organic and fair-trade food products (not verygood in this day and age). I have noticed that I have plenty of offers on in store, especially when it comes to branded goods such as Pringles, Coca Cola, Penguins etc... making them much better value than in other supermarkets. As you've probably noticed from my list however, they really only generally have offers on junk food (no wonder we're all getting obese). I do come here though, quite regularly when I'm after DVDs, video games and electronic goods, which in my experience are often cheaper than even Amazon.com. So that's something too really bear in mind.

But for the bulky thing ASDA is just the job. Yesterday we bought toilet rolls, cat food, washing and cleaning stuff and a stock of shampoo that should last until 2012. The clothing department seems to have lost the plot in the last few years. There used to be nice things and now we wonder who exactly wears this stuff. The home department is very cheap and good for replacing broken dishes and worn-out pans. Don't ever buy the 'Smart-Price' pans, they last about 11 seconds before losing all their coating and going rusty.

Its like a warehouse with two floors to browse and a cafe incase it all gets too much. A lot of stuff can be bought cheaper here than in other places and its good great bulk offers so if your having a party, or whether your business sells stuff its a great place. Going there reminds me of being a child again, but now I just tend to buy alcohol!

I'm not quite sure where to start as there were so many things there that I was tempted to buy. I particularly liked their range of original paintings many of places in Wales that I had visited. These were a little outside my price range but well worth considering for a special present for someone, there were also a lovely range of prints at more reasonable prices. There were some gorgeous cemamic goods ranging from under £5 to over £100 so plenty of scope. There were some lovely jewellery items, scarves purses etc as well as some gifts with a distinctly Welsh flavour, lovespoons and miniature harps. Like everything in this gallery the greeting cards were beautiful ...I can really not recommend it highly enough. Suggest you pay a visit for yourself.
