The other textiles are very small prints without any real design point or view. So I only shop here for basics. I've never tried returning anything so can't comment on that. I was not allowed to try on the underwear in the shop, yesterday,so bought it in good faith as it was the medium size in the same make that I had had previously. Yesterday, Erin handed me one receipt, and kept the one which apparently states the no return policy on it. She did not tell me about the no return policy. I went home and measured the underwear against what I had bought as 'medium' size in the past. It was definitely smaller. So, today, I returned to the shop for a bigger size. Erin, the owner, relayed to one of her assistants that I could not get a refund nor exchange the underwear. How strange that one of the assistants said I could try on the replacement underwear today in the shop!? Both assistants have different policies from Erin. I am completely at a loss. I always thought that Erin at Gatley operated on an ethical basis in a responsible fashion. I did not experience a worthy transparent business practice today, which I thought Erin was proud of. I am so disappointed and frustrated at being treated in such an underhand way.

I contacted the head office, they apologized for the damaged item and offered me 25% discount towards my next purchase, though no concern about the staff's attitude towards the customers which explained why there are few similar reviews about the poor customer service from the stores.
