Floors are concrete and ceilings are metal, when the HVAC turns on you are not able to hear the speaker. And there is an odd underlying echo when someone is talking to the group and no HVAC is on. We also utilized one of the smaller conference rooms, one of our group members was sick and we did a conference call and he said you couldn't hear anything due to the echo. The space itself is set up well, they have common meetings areas, smaller conference rooms, garage doors to some rooms. They have a coffee bar inside the space for your caffeine fix. The bathrooms (at least for the ladies) was poorly thought out and designed. Not going to go into detail, just check it out for yourself. I assume our company paid for snacks when renting the space we had so the staff kept those filled along with some pop, water and iced tea. The staff was helpful and nice, I needed to staple something and the manager lady was quick to help me which was appreciated. Unsure about the catering we had, there was a room for them but it was an offsite catering facility, so I'm not sure if they required us to us them for what. Food was ok, they tried to make some stuff gluten free for me.

Having initially contracted with the prior owners who then sold the business in January prior to our event, we were nervous having our contract change hands; however, after the first phone conversation with Amy, our fears were completely eliminated. Not only was she a pleasure to speak with, but her enthusiasm about The Wynbrick was unparalleled. She spoke about their plans and ideas. I was excited to be able to work with someone with so much energy about their future business. As we worked through the details during multiple emails, phone calls and meetings, we began to see the potential that The Wynbrick was going to offer us a wedding to never forget. We loved working with Amy, Jan and Christine and they never ran out of ideas to make the venue and the day even more memorable. In the short few months after they took ownership prior to our event in May, they remodeled almost the entire house - from repainting and reorganizing to re-configuring the kitchen. The renovations were fantastic and brought the already beautiful home to a very crisp, clean venue that showcased its historical charm. During an open house, the family shared many facts about the home, again proving their passion for their new business - not only investing the time to what they were going to turn the venue in to, but to also keep the historical integrity. Walking into our rehearsal the day before our wedding again proved how amazing these owners are. They were completely prepared for our arrival, made us feel welcome, offered assistance in any way they could and were sure to know every detail from our photographer, officiate, our family and most importantly my husband and me. Leaving that evening, knowing the next time I would walk in the house would be on my wedding day, I couldn't have been in a more comfortable place. I knew these ladies had everything under control and I wasn't at all nervous about any of the choices we had made for us and our approximately one hundred guests. No wedding day goes off without a hitch, but The Wynbrick staff had everything under control. It began raining during our photography session before the ceremony - Jan and Amy were waiting with umbrellas and towels making every effort possible to keep me and the wedding party dry. After that moment, there was nothing that could have possibly gone wrong. Everything they did that day, all day, was to ensure that our wedding day was perfect down to every last detail. There wasn't a single moment that I felt unsure about; if any questions came up, they were happily there to answer them. Multiple times our guests commented on the beauty of the venue and the remarkable and attentive staff. There is zero doubt in my mind that if my wedding, their very first wedding as new owners of The Wynbrick, could be so spectacular, that they would make any other wedding or event be equally as amazing. Thanks to The Wynbrick and its phenomenal owners and staff, the beauty of our wedding day will forever be remembered!

Since then, she has stopped responding completely and my mother has been waiting to host a "pending cancellation" date for my father's celebration of life for over 3 weeks now. I can fully respect that, however we only need the venue bc of the same reason, except it was a cancer death. I'm very disappointed with Alex's lack of professionalism, communication and overall her inability to manage multiple clients at once. In my honest opinion, having planned many events in my life, she cares more about the additional money a wedding would bring in, than actually providing fair and equitable customer service to her clients. Very disappointed. House venue is also smalls, old, outdated and very choppy small rooms. Outdoor venue is beautiful, but only in decent weather.

I had to move 5,000 miles away for my job, and they will not allow me to break my lease for a cause. The management is demanding three months lease~ about $3k while I live across the ocean. I approached them nicely and in person, was a good renter for seven years, never late or a problem. Additionally, the prospective renter should note: 1. Building washing machines are habitually broken. 2. The apartments leak air like a sieve. I attach a photo of my window from last winter- the ice is on the INSIDE. When I asked if they could do anything, they said NO. 3. Frequently, when the weather is below freezing, the fire alarm sounds. The building is so poorly insulated that internal water pipes freeze and break. A significant pipe break causes a drastic loss in pressure sounding the fire alarm. This chain of events usually happens at the coldest time of day, 4 am, so you are standing in the street until maintenance and the FD arrives and can turn off the alarm, usually about an hour. 4. The broken pipes usually flood the building near where they occur. This sequence happened at least once a year in my seven years of living there. Like I said, don't rent there.
