This was an unexpected treasure, one we didn't know about but when visiting the Familia Sagrada, stumbled upon. It was a raucous cacophony of tourists, (us included :-), street vendors, etc. ... and for me, a bit of architectural wonder goes a long way. After seeing the Sagrada and taking a photo or two, in the blazing heat and sun beating down, I needed more than anything to sit with water, and steps away, was a literal oasis of cool, fresh greenery and water, benches, a little park in the middle of a noisy city, construction going on everywhere, shouts and the like but here was this little park offering up its charms. Not that I'm discounting Gaudi's work but given that was our "main" attraction, this green paradise was its own lure equally bewitching, partly because we hadn't planned it, hadn't aimed for it, nor was it our destination.
