Extra activities are very reasonably priced (government operated) and definitely fun and worth doing. Zip-lining is available. Paddle boat rental is available for $50 MXP for half and hour or so. Plenty of shaded and picnic areas. Cool "Tarzan" park for the juniors. Skatepark available at no cost. Nice jogging trail. Park has a walkway to cross the street, plenty of kids playing, playgrounds, paths, people jogging or walking, and even an event with schoolchildren being honored for something (my Spanish wasn't good enough to understand!) Also has go karts for the kids.
