Saint Martin's square!
This place is a nice green space, with some cool statues, lots of places to hang out in the shade with some interesting landscaping. It's a pleasant place to spend some time! The plaza is surrounded by Placio Paz on one side, another huge palace on another, and the park opens up to a big, long mall with a clock tower and a monument to the children killed at the Malvinas Islands battles.
There's a subway stop here, so it's easy to access. Watch out for people sleeping by the entrance. The park opens up to Florida Street on the other side, which is a great shopping district. "Cambio! Cambio!"
It's a bit of a bummer that someone decided to fence off the giant statue of San Martin on horseback, so you can't get too close.
There's plenty of parking along this square, and it's a nice place to get situated. It's up a hill from the central train station.
There are no public restrooms here. read more
