This is definitely one of the best cruise ports out there due to the combination of shopping, available amenities, size and safety. I did not see any signs of people being pushy (and I made my way through the entire plaza/shopping center area) so I'm not sure if some action might have been taken to reduce some of the reported hassling of tourists. The prices here are definitely way better/more reasonable than the shops I saw at Costa Maya so if you're hankering for making a big souvenir run this is a better spot IMO. The choices were also more varied (to an extent as there were a ton of shops selling the same exact things) and I also like how close the big shopping plaza was to the actual port itself. The people we interacted with were flexible with prices and gave us some good deals. I would say if you're looking to shop anytime during your itinerary this is a good port to do so.

Large two level mall near the cruise port with same name, the Plaza Punta Langosta ("Lobster Point") has a variety of stores. Note that is advertised as being close to the cruise port, which it is for one of them, but not so close to the International Terminal, which is more than 2 miles away. The mall has a movie theater, various food shops, and souvenirs as well. It is heavily geared towards tourists as one would expect.

Cool shopping area with loads of goodie's from alcohol to clothing to jewelry and food. This place is awesome if you like to negotiate with the owners. I saved 75% off a product I wanted by offering the lady a hug. It was great.

Arrived at the Punta Langosta pier on a Royal Caribbean cruise on Thanksgiving day. Walked from cruise ship to the end of the pier. For me, not a bad walk. For anyone with a disability, you can take a pedicab from the ship to the end of the pier for tips. My mom did that on the way back. Very tourist-centric mall. Our excursion tour guide took us on a circuitous route through the mall to get to our tour bus! Know before you go that you will be approached multiple times to have your picture made with people made up as bronze statues. The colorful Cozumel sign is a free alternative photo spot, but be prepared for others waiting to take pix as well. Also, you may be approached to take cosmetic samples. I suspect this is a lure to get you in their shops and spend. Other shopkeepers will call out to you as well. Any polite interest you show will be taken as true interest, so if you are not interested, be prepared to give a firm no and keep walking. I bought a Cozumel t-shirt for $10 American cash, no haggling. Variety of shops: t-shirts and souvenirs, leather goods, diamonds and jewelry, cosmetics, groceries/snacks. One shopkeeper saw my husband's Atlanta Braves hat and wanted him to give it away to him. Not sure if he wanted to barter, or an outright gift, but my hubs wasn't interested either way. They do take American currency, but take smaller bills. Never felt unsafe, but be prepared for a lot of offers and crowds. Our tour guide said that this is time is peak time with nine or so cruise ships arriving daily, so it will be crowded and busier than in summer months when they might see one ship a day. I did carry my backpack up front as a precaution. If you're nervous about the water, get a bottle from your ship before you disembark. Don't try to take food; a dog will sniff your bag at a checkpoint between your ship and the end of the pier. We ate lunch at a beachside restaurant as part of our excursion and had no tummy troubles.

First review in English! This is a shopping center for Cruise ship passengers, of which I was one. It is set up so one must walk through the entire place to get from your ship to the street and visa-versa. I was told the prices are un poco has barato (a little bit cheaper) as you diststance yourself from the port but there is a convenience to not having to schlep your purchases all over the place and risk leaving them behind after a few Margaritas. There us a but of haggling over prices in Cozumel as well. I know the rules: the price given is a starting point, you offer half and the final price lies somewhere in-between. I know the trick to this as wel; I really wanted it in another color, take up a lot of their time to get then invested in the sale... but I sometimes get uncomfortable negotiating with someone who is barely eeking out a living while I am living it up on an all-inclusive vacation sponsored by my in-laws. I remind myself that I paid more to have my hair done than he made today and end up paying more than I have to. But enough about politically correct behavior. There is a good selection of anything you could want to buy here. This place is clean with good clean bathrooms. It was the first Starbucks we had seen in over a week, though didn't go in. Many places have free WiFI with purchase.

The only thing I would say is the checkout can be very lengthy even when it's only a couple people. But I can see the workers are working hard which I appreciate. If you are new to Mexico, specially Playa del Carmen, then definitely go find your nearest Chedraui. They're literally the Walmart of Mexico!

Bring your own bags or buy more. There are ATMs near the entrance to get pesos from credit/debit cards. There is a security guard at the entrance monitoring all the comings and goings. You may be asked to check packages or bags you bring in with you. Remember to tip the bagging person, they don't get paid otherwise. Many of the department workers speak little English. The taxi stand is outside at the street. The man at a table will tell you which taxi to take. There are the usual sections of toiletries, household furnishings, fresh fruits and veggies, meats(out in the open without refrigeration) bakery, beer and wines and so on. Some flower bouquets. Eggs and most milk are not refrigerated here. One of the trickiest parts of shopping here if you don't speak Spanish is ...dairy products! There are many brands of yogurt, but finding YOUR particular home favorite or anything similar - best of luck! "Sin Azucar" means without sugar, but it could have other sweeteners. Without "gras" means fat free. Butter and margarine are hard to tell apart. I highly recommend the Google Translate App with camera: hold it up to the product and it will actually show the photo with the words in English (or other languages)!! One thing I appreciate is that high calorie foods have a warning label, on candy and cookies, for example. One thing I dislike is that nutritional information is so convoluted it is virtually impossible to decipher. There is not the uniformity of the nutritional content that we have in the US. There is information, but it may be per 100 ml and you are holding a 373 ml bottle that is intended as a one time drink, so a calculator is necessary if you want to know how much protein or calories it contains in total. For some reason, there is NO grape jelly here! Teas are not clearly labeled "caffeine-free," so bring your own or guess.

The mall was air conditioned, clean, 80's modern, and safe with mostly middle range shops. The Food court was easy to find. There were a couple sit down restaurants. We went to the sushi restaurant but the hostess said there was a long wait. We settled on Pizza Hut for my youngest which had a surprisingly long wait. The rest of us ate Chinese "Cajun" food which is similar to what's offered in all US malls. Everyone was fed for about $35. The food was a little greasy but filling. I had to use my Spanish to order everything. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable.

It has every store you can think of from dirt ass cheap to very expensive and upscale. There's TONS of food options, a 4D theater, cheap covid testing, and a huge discount grocery store. I could've easily spent a full day here exploring all the goodies! I'm most impressed with Calcium nails where I got my gel acrylic nails done for $14 USD. I was also amazed by the grocery store. It had clothes, food, shoes, towels, alcohol, literally EVERYTHING. Like a big ole even cheaper Walmart lol. It can be very packed in the mall and a lot of people just walk right into you. I thought that was weird but hey what can ya do? I'm definitely looking forward to going back and exploring the mall even more.

Featuring both Harley Davidson and the Hard Rock Cafe checked both those items off my to-do list for souvenirs. The center seemed about 50% occupied but there were some decent shops still in there. We went to the pharmacy which was a good deal. We were able to pick up a pair of flip flops, a shot glass and some medicine in one stop. Plus the conversion was 1US to 20 Peso vs 16.50 at the port markets. I am giving the 3 stars on the three places mentioned above. That accomplished most of what I wanted to do in Cozumel. Except for the HRC I did not see any other restaurants here (Carl's Jr appeared to be out of business). I felt that for more touristy shopping the better option is the shopping center across the street to the south. To be fair I am reviewing this center because of the pharmacy. They had for us what other places nearby did not. I would give them a 4 star review.
