Plaza del Zapato gives you two very different experiences, depending on what time of day (or night)…read moreyou come here. During the day, there is a small indoor shopping center that cells clothing, shoes, and accessories. There is a nail place downstairs, and restrooms that cost 5 pesos to use. The parking lot is a pay lot, but its pretty cheap. The place is largely safe, as it is located in Zona Rio. Across the street is Plaza Rio, so you can get away with parking there and shopping here for a bit, if you're looking to shop in both locations. At nighttime, this place becomes a booming party area, with many interconnected bars. The only place that I can compare this to is Seville Quarter in Pensacola, Fl (a throwback to my military years). The turnout here is decent at night, and it's a mix of locals and people from the US. There is a large parking lot around the corner, in which you can park while you party it up. Much like the daytime fare, parking here at night won't break your bank if you're coming here on a budget. The service here is decent, and the workers are friendly and helpful. The locals are pretty cool, too. You're safe partying here, as long as you don't look for trouble. Cheers.

I would drive by this rundown mall for years and years and never give it much thought. The craft beer scene had blown up, and a good friend wanted to show me the ins and outs. Plaza del Zapato blew me away. It's essentially a mall of several craft beer joints and I am sure other places. We focused on the craft beer and just wandered from this little intimate spot to that. The beers were could, the crowd was diverse, and we had a great time. It was VERY crowded on a Saturday night, so come prepared for some good beer and heavy crowds if you come on a weekend evening!

My wife and I visited a few months ago, and, oh boy, I don't know if it's a COVID casualty or what, but PF is now just a depressing shell of what it used to be. Only a couple of bars remain, and they aren't craft brewery tasting rooms, just generic cantinas the likes of which you could find anywhere. I declare all other Yelp reviews of PF to be null and void. Don't say that I didn't warn you. P.S. PF doesn't even have a website anymore. Game over, man.

Coming here is a siege on the senses - pummeling you with drinking, blasting music from all corners, and bar-hopping at a level where conversation and sobriety are virtually impossible to maintain. It is unlike any single spot in the USA except maybe Bourbon Street, if Bourbon Street was made up of two dozen narrow alley-ways and then turned into a dark labyrinth-like maze made halfway out of barstools, run down kiosks, walls of buildings, and refuse. It is a chaos-brew of partying and fun - along with the thrill of potential threat and destruction due to the carelessness that simply being here at night as a tourist represents - so extreme and potentially dangerous that even the police wear masks so they can't be identified in case they hassle the "wrong" person, The buildings that make up this labyrinth of bars and restaurants are mostly two stories, with bars both at ground level and upstairs. There are even a few in basements. Some have huge TV screens paying music videos, some have dancing, some have food, and all have drink specials. And at its busiest times the crowd is so thick that you have to squeeze in-between people just to move down one of the alleys. So watch your pockets. And I would suggest not coming here alone... But definitely come here - if you like this sort of thing. It is one of the great party spots (for booze and people watching - not for drugs and sex.) This is not the pace to look for bed-mates to pick-up... (although I am sure that is possible), This is the place to get drunk and then go eat street tacos after and then take an Uber home. But it is FUN.
