The Hannan Center is a great place for seniors to check out. My friend told me about the art…read moregallery. Once I check the center out, I found out about the art classes they offer. For a small fee of $9, I got 15 weeks of lessons. For that price I signed up for 2 classes. The people that work there are kind and the people in the classes are nice and supportive also. I have learned a lot about collages and have been in 2 of the art exhibitions. A great place for seniors to get involved in different activities. The store manager Tom is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He knows what he's talking about and can always point you in the right direction. The showroom up front features all of the sound equipment and there's a lighting room in back to show off all of the awesome fixtures they have. I was very happy with a recent rental of a subwoofer and mixer. The cost was reasonable and they reviewed the item checklist with me when I brought it back. If you can get out to 14 and Dequindre, do it. It's worth the trip.

Long story short, Pro Audio & Lighting worked hand in hand with the manufacture to cover my situation. For a small drop off fee that went towards the repairs, their professionalism was top shelf. There isn't much else around this part of North End, but it is worth a stop if you care about the history of techno. It's tough to call or find actual information online about what to expect, so we took a chance. We were a bit bummed to see that there were specific tour dates of the small but packed room of techno history. However, we slid in toward the end (not sure we needed to be so surreptitious) and got to hear a lot of rich history. There are artifacts and brief annotations throughout the room, too, in case you end up perusing the space on your own. On this day, unfortunately the main record store was closed for repairs. However, we did get to spend some time in the much smaller pop-up record store, which had a lot of house records (not as much techno on this given day). Local DJs were (wo)manning the cashier space, and they had free gatorade and water. So friendly! Bring your records or music! On the top floor, there was a pop-up DJ table, where a sign beckoned DJs to take a turn.

I came here for the first time last night to see a speaking engagement for the show Under the Radar…read moreon PBS. I'm not familiar with the theatre, but I really enjoyed my time here. I got an email about 2 weeks prior giving me the rundown of how things work. They let me know that there's a parking garage right across the street which was very convenient. Admittedly, the front door was hard to find but I figured it out when I saw the line to get in. Going inside the place doesn't have a bad seat in the house. Bathrooms are right there in the theatre so you don't have to miss too much of the show if you need to go. Well decorated and easy to get around. My only complaint was if someone tall's sitting in front of you it can be difficult. Seats could have been off set so you don't have to have this problem. Overall a great experience and the place is a gem.

Well, after 4 weeks, I called and they finally did provide a quote for the repair of my previously working deck, specifying the repairs & calibration, that completing them would be straight forward, and that my deck would be ready for pick up in about 2 weeks. Well, after, almost 3.5 weeks of waiting, I called to check in. They explicitly said, "Oh I was meaning to let you know. We can't fix your deck anymore. We ordered a wrong part and can't find the correct one, and now can't fix it. We're sorry you brought us a deck that is in too poor of condition to be fixed. You can use the $100 toward buying a another product in the store". This is a nightmare. I feel blindsided and cheated.
