The pool area has changed my rooms bathrooms and showers. There is a fee for residents and non residents which is $2 and $4 respectively. The pictures I took do the pool no justice as I took them in mid October so the pool was obviously dirty and hadn't been maintained since closing for the season. The playground has very new equipment and is clean and well maintained. There is a large grassy area nearby the basketball court for frisbee, running your dog or whatever you may like to do. The park is adjacent to the Mansfield Sports Complex which hosts the Senior League World Series each August. This park has it all a must visit for any parent and kids of all ages.

The equipment is slightly older than other parks in the city however and the basketball court has no lines and the hoop itself is a bit old. Other than that a wonderful place to bring kids. Perfect for walks around the perimeter(which is paved), jogging and yoga. The grassy area is large enough for soccer, football or anything in between. Even drone flying is perfect for this park.

One of the few downsides is that it can get windy at times, so playing with a frisbee is a bit of a pain, but that's Bangor for you.

The reason for the 4 star review instead of a 5 star review is the fact that there is not a decent sized grassy area for the Kansas did to entertain themselves with a ball or something. I could've said well the pool is enough to make this 5 star, but a park/playground should always have a grassy area imho. This is however just about the perfect park in the area regardless of the rating I gave it.

The one downside is a lack of trees or any natural beauty as this is located on a residential neighborhood next to a school so it was just sort of purpose built with no aesthetics in mind. There also is so walking trail along the perimeter either. Plenty of off street parking as well as picnic tables. Well done city of Old Town Maine!!

There is parking or you can come in the Island Shuttle that stops here. Then at night, on Sundays and Wednesdays, weather permitting, the Park Rangers put on an excellent Stargazing program to do. I came and really enjoyed it. But dress warm, bring chairs or a blanket to sit on. Whether you are visiting day or night, this beach does not disappoint !

We weren't prepared to go swimming but we still walked the beach and took some pictures. A lot of people were there to swim and it was pretty crowded. The air was chilly so I was surprised how many people were swimming but maybe the water was warm. I didn't notice lifeguards but there was a park ranger circulating. Plus bathrooms and changing rooms up top. At night they had a stargazing program here which we came back for which was ranger led and honestly one of my favorite memories of the trip.

We had a short visit to the park to check things out - it's interesting as there are limesone furnaces made of stack granite that still exist behind the park. Seems in the past raw limestone was delivered to the furnaces to "cook" so it would break down into lime (which has various uses, especially for the creation of powdered concrete). The park is fairly small but has some nice views if you're into the water and nautical vessels. There's also a carving of "Andre the Seal" for those interested - supposed to be a children's book but I'm not familiar with it. Not much hiking to be done in the park itself but a nice, fairly quiet place to stop and perhaps eat a bagged lunch.

Located in the same mall area as IGA and Spotlight Cinemas. You can buy time to jump ranging from 60 to 90 to 120 minutes with prices going from $14 to $25. Depending on the day/night there may be discounts such as college night, teen night or family night so plan accordingly. Also beware you will need to buy jumping socks for $2.50 on top of the jumping time. Also safety waivers will need to be signed which can be done on their website or when you are going. I found pricing to be decent especially if you go on one of the special days for a discount. They have tons of normal trampolines but even better they have things such as dodgeball, foam pits, slack lines, an arcade, and other activities to keep you busy. Your best bet for having fun is bringing a group of friends or the whole family. After coming here and jumping for awhile you should be getting tired. Don't get too crazy or let your kids get too crazy as injuries could happen in this type of environment. A much needed addition to the entertainment in Orono.

Bangor Escape rooms came up and had good reviews so I called and how lucky were we to get in within an hour. DJ was super helpful and accommodating to us. The four of us did the Italian diner room and managed to escape with 6:47 minutes using 4 clues. We liked it so much we decided to try our luck and do another the next day. We got in immediately a little after opening time and did the kings medieval room. This was a bit harder but super complex. Each room cost us $100. We had a great time!
