Until a few weeks ago, my only experience of Playgolf Manchester was seeing the huge range from the whirpool jacuzzi in David Lloyds next door. Golf has never appealed to me, possibly because I associate it with checked, plaid, PLEATED trousers and polo shirts. I did have a golf club inherited from my Uncle when I was little, but after taking a swing and nearly taking someone's eye out, I gave up on my golfing career.
When the other half announced he had a corporate event at Playgolf, I almost choked on my bacon butty and made a few crude remarks all associated with Tiger Woods. He returned however, a complete convert and immediately booked a block of lessons to improve his form. Playgolf Manchester accepts all golfers no matter what their par is and coaches over 1000 pupils per month.Lessons are taken in a private tuition studio and last half an hour. There are various packages beginning at £27.50 for a single lesson up to the Platinum Plus (almost £500 for 20 lessons with ball credit). There are junior lessons too which are much more reasonably priced at £90 for 5 lessons, a small price for discovering that your little one is a golf star in the making.
Playgolf Manchester hosts children's parties and contains an American Golf superstore complete with a driving range to try out the clubs. Looks like I am going to be a golf widow, but I am sure I will cope in the David Lloyd jacuzzi. read more
