The "Playback Thea.West" troupe that I saw was at the Boulder Dairy Center for 2015. -- I guess I should have soaked in the word "improv THEATER" more,as it was not the improv that I am used to (eg, Second City... comedic) This was mostly somber interpretations of real (short) stories. (audience had a chance to share stories for them to act out) It was more like Performance Art, where the actors would wave their arms in the air, and spread out/bend their legs to some personal rhythm. Very few props are used, like scarves (despite having a colorful prop pile on stage). I was bored; didnt find it that creative. = I gave them 3 stars bec. I heard others say they liked it OK, and I dont want to deter interpretive theater people from going. read more
