I chose to create my salad because I couldn't decide. I got the romaine lettuce, black olives, carrots, spicy garlic chick peas, black beans, corn and raspberry balsamic dressing. This salad was fresh and delicious. I will definitely be going back today! They have just about every topping you can think of..and two options for salads.. a 4 topping for $6.99 or 7 toppings for $1 more. This is a great spot for vegans or for anyone who just wants a healthy salad. One last thing to mention... the salad was huge..big bowl filled to the top..and worth every penny.

Extremely disappointing customer service experience. The employee assisting us, Abbie, was rude,…read moredismissive, and visibly annoyed when we asked questions about the menu. Rather than explaining the options, told me I could "read it on the menu." There was no greeting, no "please" or "thank you," and no effort to make customers feel welcome. The food may be good, but customer service matters, and this interaction left a very negative impression. We won't be returning.

Since I was closer to the Woodbury location today, I decided to try it, expecting the same quality and experience I've always had. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the $20 salad I received. The quality didn't come close to what I'm used to at Plainview, and it fell far below the standard I've come to trust. Given how often I dine with you and how much I genuinely enjoy your food, I expect consistency across locations. I hope this is taken seriously, because experiences like this make me rethink where I choose to spend my time and money.

This is Mangu, (mashed plantains), fried eggs, queso frito, (similar to fried cheese curds), pickled red onions and fried Dominican salami. This dish was under par! The Mangu tasted mostly like margarine, (oily) not buttery. They served it with 1 fried egg which normally is served with 2 to 3 eggs. The salami consisted of 2 pieces so thin that they fit in between the slots of the fork prongs. The fried cheese was descent but the portion like wise was small. It was 1 piece of cheese cut in half. Similarly, the portion of the pickled onions was small. Around 3 to 5 small rings of onion.

The location is near Marist College and I'm sure that the students would love this place. I'm just wondering if they plan to have hot options as the weather chills down. It feels more seasonal to me. Perhaps adding some spiced cider or hot Matcha or masala chai I could get them a boost for Fall and Winter. Today's visit was around the noon hour and I was the only customer for about 10 minutes. They offer special discounts for students and teachers as well as first responders which I think it's really great. I would like to see them do a little bit more for seniors because a weekly visit here could break the bank. Excellent service and very nice staff.
