This mural is on the side of the Bauer Family Resources building and serves as the backdrop to the Subaru South Tipp Park. You will find it in a little alleyway. It is the work of local artist Zach Medler (ZMED), who painted the piece in 2014, with the assistance of some After School Arts Program students.
The mural depicts people having fun doing random things like listen to music with their headphones, dancing, sticking out their tongue, standing on their head, sitting criss cross applesauce, and laying down reading a book. You will also see a guy spray painting the word "Play" on the wall. The people's faces look like emojis and the artwork is very nice. It is in pretty good shape and I like it. It is a fun piece that you should check out.
Parking to get a closer look is easy enough. There is tons of street parking available or you can park in the center's lot. Anyway, as with most murals that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. So, you may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other attractions in the area, or making this stop part of a larger itinerary to maximize your time and trip. There is a ton of public art in the area to see. read more
