This mural is on the side of the Bauer Community Center, using a Tippecanoe Arts Federation Nano Grant. It is the work of Chicago-based artist Janson Rapisarda, who goes by name CERA professionally. The mural was painted in July 2021 and is 6 feet tall and 110 feet wide. Kids doing various activities. You will see a break-dancer, a big wheel rider, an astronaut dunking a basketball and a ping-pong player. CERA received his inspiration from conversations with numerous children who frequented the Bauer community center.
It is a very long mural that has to be viewed in sections to get the most of it. Parking to get a closer look is simple. There are tons of free street parking available or you can just park in the Community Center's parking lot. The mural faces the street and can be seen from the main drag.
Anyway, as with most murals that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. So, you may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other attractions in the area, or making this stop part of a larger itinerary to maximize your time and trip. There of tons of murals to check out in the immediate area. read more
