The park is well-maintained and the variety of plants and flowers is truly stunning. I enjoyed walking through the different gardens, each with its own unique character and charm. They just opened on April 1st for the season so not everything was in bloom (obviously) but my minds eye could imagine if. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the dedication of the staff to ensure that everything was in pristine condition. I could tell that they take great pride in their work and it definitely shows. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Strongsville Gardenview Horticultural Park. Yesterday, I attended a lovely cowboy/cowgirl wedding ceremony in the field at this farm. After the wedding, we had a reception in the barn and we took a tour of the farm. It was known there would be lots of kids of all ages at this wedding, so that influenced the decision to have it at this venue. After the wedding, the kids each got to ride ponies, a cart pulled by ponies, a non-hay ride, and they got to visit the lots of animals in the barns and fields. They have two elk, several reindeer, pigs, goats, chickens, turkeys, emus, rabbits, cats, horses, donkeys, a camel named Charlie, and a mule, to name a few animals. This is a petting farm, so the kids get to pet all the animals. There were three farm workers assisting with all the kids. This place is pretty huge. The people who like to dance stayed in the barn dancing. The people who like to drink stayed in the barn drinking. The kids and adults that never grew up played baseball and football outside. The smokers had their own little place too. This place has a little something for everyone. Fans take the place of air conditioning and at times, it was actually much cooler outside in the shade and breeze, even on the hot 80 degree day. Recommend if you're country.
