So I have never gone into a goodwill before but i have to say that i was pleasantly surprised…read moreoverall. It was very well layed out. The staff was friendly. I didn't browse through any of the aisles, just dropped off donations. What I did find minorly confusing and wasn't much of an inconvenience, was the fact that the donation dropoff center area which the main entrance was located outside the building (I didn't know this upon entering), was closed. I heard that you can ask for a donation slip to report to taxes, which isn't like a super major big deal to me, but that's something nice if you are looking to get some of it written off. I ended up just handing the bags to the attendant and that was that.

Today I found a picture I liked priced at $25. the frame was badly damaged and taped to hold it together. The picture had slipped down so you would have to get a new frame. Or I guess you could open it, tape the photo in and then tape the frame again. But this would likely fall off the wall. The manager would only come down $5. He was nasty and said someone else will buy it why should I reduce it for you. So he basically was saying he could rip someone else off if not me. You would not believe how high priced these items are. If you are low income, you can't shop here. High priced junk.

I've shopped at plenty of thrift and…read moreliquidation centers- I'm OK with used items or returned merchandise that isn't in its original packaging, however this discount store felt overall very depressing and there really wasn't much to look at. I think having just better lighting would help, the whole place was extremely dark. Someone needs to go around with a duster or cloth and just wipe some of the products/shelves, they look dirty and dusty. There are some haphazardly placed items all over the place - and not very much household/clothing items. When we first walked in there was 1 couch and 1 chair for sale, then the first front wall had some random garden/outdoor equipement. There was 1 baby stroller, about 2 racks of clothing and the rest was mostly non perishable food items. If you are in need of condiments, canned food, cereals, and the like they have a decent selection although most items are expired. I was not expecting the best selection, but some items like medication/vitamines/baby accessories and baby sunscreens for example should not be sold if they are past their due date. Although it's cheap, I don't know why anyone would risk using expired sunscreen on their baby without knowing if it's effective? That's the kind of item I would not buy, I don't want to risk a sunburn on my sensitive baby's skin. I was hoping to find some hidden treasures and thought perhaps this place could be like Ollie's bargain bin but our party of 4 left feeling sketched out. Won't be returning, there isn't enough stuff and nothing of value.

It is not a full retail shopping experience so don't measure it that way. It's a great way to shop for bargains if you are flexible and open minded.

Honestly I rarely use these, so trying to be kind, I told him, "NBD, I use my phone for that" .... But, then it stopped ticking 2 days later. When I returned to the store, I requested he place a new battery in & asked that he show me the package (so I could check the expiration date). He walked out from the back with just the expired battery he removed from my watch to show me. So, I said, "No, I want to see the package of the NEW battery you're putting in, so I know it's NOT EXPIRED." He returned with his supply (i.e., 2 batteries: both expired 2020). I asked him for my $15 back, and he REFUSED because he said I did not have my receipt. Then, to make matters worse! ... on my Google 1-STAR Review of LIPPA's he lied, saying he "could not find my name anywhere in his computer system" ~ trying to make it appear as if I had the wrong Jewelry Store (funny... He never did ask for my name today; he simply stated without my yellow receipt, he would not REFUND ME $15 for dishonestly placing an EXPIRED 2020 WATCH BATTERY in my wrist watch) A THIEF is a THIEF (thieves always lie; they have, or they get caught) and a LIE is a LIE: a Tiger doesn't change their stripes, no matter how big, or small their kill is. LIPPA's does NOT DESERVE Anyone's BUSINESS, or TRUST. ~ I suppose if I walked in with an expensive suit & tie to buy an engagement ring, he would have had the decency to behave himself better & not steal from someone 65 y.o. on a fixed income. Shame on this man & his mother who raised him.

Buying rings can be an overwhelming experience but Mike and the staff were super helpful on site and thoroughly went over questions such as what we wanted; what was important to us; likes/dislikes; etc - and used that info to narrow the focus and show us options that would potentially work.
