I backed track everywhere I'd gone, still no keys. I was one of three people to enter the store when they opened the door for business. The store manager Chris approached me and I explained that I had lost my key ring and he immediately went into action. By this time I felt faint. Chris went to retrieve me a chair and paper towels because I'm so nervous I'm sweating and scared. I'm three hours walking and looking for my keys with Chris at my side when he could be available for me. Chris checked outside where my BMW was parked just in case I'd left the keys in car, Chris checked shopping carts, under counters...nothing! Shoppers had stopped to help me. After about my sixth back tracking I finally found my keys hanging on a dress that I had picked up but decided not to buy. I advise I was wearing a Maidenform brand and I wanted to try another brand. The young lady had very little knowledge about the products in that department but I took the information, thank her and continued to search. During the search, I stopped and stood in the department for maybe twenty minutes or so because I realized that I had not sent out an important reminder text to the group of Ladies that I meet with on Saturday nights. After I made my decision on two BodyShaper's, I left the department and walked down to the men's department to find my husband a belt. After about 20 minutes a young made came to me and made a joke, I ask could he check me out with the three items ( two shapers and one belt) he looked at the the young lady, on my right, it was the associate that advised me about the shaper, the man that worked for your company said she can help you. I looked at the associate and said are you looking for me, she said yes ( she looked to see what was in my hand). I said I have shopped at Belks for years and NEVER had I had an associate follow me from one department to look for me in another department. This made me very uncomfortable, my husband said it best, she thought I was going to steal . She was very obvious, I am asking for training for this associate. Also tell this young lady, Belks have security cameras and I am sure security, that could have watch me and not make me feel VERY uncomfortable and disrespected. I have a Belks card and I often shop on line. If you asked the young lady, I am sure she will remember me, I was pleasant and kind, even after I realized that she was operating in decent. Missing Pot Lid Incident…read more I am writing to report a disappointing incident experience I had at your Valdosta, GA (1200 St. Augustine Road) location on 11/11/2025 in between the hours of 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM.  During my recent visit, I found a pot I wanted to purchase, but did not have a lid. After falling in line for about 20 minutes, at checkout, I politely asked the cashier if a discount could be given since the item is incomplete. She contacted the manager, but instead of speaking to me directly or checking the situation, I overheard the manager saying, "MAYBE THE LID WAS JUST THERE, SO NO DISCOUNT."  I found this response unprofessional and dismissive. I was not upset about getting a discount- it was the way the situation was handled. I would appreciate if the manager had taken a moment to come over or at least respectfully to the inquiry.  I hope this feedback helps improve customer service at the Valdosta store,  Thank you for your attention to this matter.
