Terrible customer service. Don't greet you they don't speak no have a nice day or anything

I've always had a great experience at this store. Everyone always greets me and is very friendly. Special shoutout to Kassydee. She was very helpful and kind. I needed help finding a graduation dress and she grabbed a few options for me to try on. She would also hype me up with each outfit I tried on. Prices are reasonable. Overall my experiences have been amazing! read more

Nice staff, but clothes are overpriced and dirty. They also sell used swimwear, which isn't very sanitary if you ask me, considering I saw a bikini on the sales floor that was clearly unwashed (photo attached). Once I saw that, I had no desire to shop there any further. You can get brand new clothes for the same price at discount stores. The whole thrill of thrifting is finding a gem, but they don't even take clothes "older than 18 months," so you'll only find things that are about to go out of style here, no classic or vintage pieces. read more

Plato's Closet - Check out that used and unwashed red swimsuit bottom. Very unsanitary. - Department Stores Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

I went in the store and I wasn't impressed. Their selection of clothes & shoes weren't gently used. A lot of their products had tears, stains, were faded, dirty, paint, mud & there were even stiff clothing. Yuck! This is disgusting, I expected better. I used to shop at the one in Florida- that one was clean and everything in it too. At this point Goodwill has better selections. Their products are cleaned. read more

Wow, I was shocked to see all the one star reviews. I've personally never had a negative experience here. I always find something super cute for a great price when I come in, and the employees here are always super friendly and helpful. I've only tried to sell clothes here once and the process was simple and relatively quick, it took less than 15 minutes. This is literally my favorite Plato's location. read more

To start off, whenever my friend and I walked into the store, not one staff member greeted us. That's fine, but still eh. Anyways, as we shopped, they continuously got louder and louder laughing and became more obnoxiously annoying to be around. I looked up front and literally the 4 of them were all sitting around laughing, eating, and on their phones. The entire experience sucked. I follow their Instagram page, but I had never been in, never will again. Highly do-not reccomend. Awful. 0/10. read more

If I could give negative stars I would but it's not an option. The absolute worse experience I have ever had in a Plato's. I went in yesterday to sell and was told it would probably take an hour, there was only one buy ahead of me. Then after about 5 minutes of them standing there I was told I could pick it up tomorrow. What was the point in telling me it would be an hours if I couldn't even get the buy the same day? Then after I told them I was from Jacksonville they asked the manager and they said I could get it that day (THANK GOODNESS) The young lady that was going through my things probably took 40 mins to go through my things and didn't even look at every item. I'm not sure if she was new or if she was shy but she honestly just looked scared. The other young lady that was there with long hair was doing literally everything else but working. At one point we got to hear about how i am assuming it was the manager talking but how her sister was bad at writing resumes and had worked at all these different places. Then a young man and I am assuming his mother came in and had a bearded dragon and they took their sweet time talking about how his name was blue that he was shedding and petting and trying to scare another girl who was working there. INSTEAD of paying attention to the three customers in the store. Then they passed on brand new clothing. Then the manager went to leave the girl with the long hair even talked about how she would just close the store if they ran out of money early and also talked to her dad who came in about how he couldn't pick her up while my buy still was not processed. THE MOST RIDICULOUS EXPERIENCE. I see why this business is for sale. Their employees are unprofessional. Not to mention they were all talking about how they were trying to find other jobs while there. If I could go to work and gossip visit and play on my phone instead of take care of customers I would but unfortunately the real world doesn't work this way. The pictures are of them talking while I wasn't even ten feet from them about the bearded dragon and just life peri read more

This Plato's closet it like any other one you been too. They pay you next to nothing for your used clothed even if they are new with tags. They wanted to give me 10 dollars for 4 pair of miss me jeans and they were lightly used. The place is unorganized and lost of fake purses. The people that work there seem nice tho. I would recommend going to the other stores in town that pay cash for your clothes if you want a decent deal. They did have some clothes that where priced reasonably, but for the most part there are a lot of consignment shops in town that offer a better price to the consumer. read more

I absolutely abhor this location. The employees are rude, discourteous and often have their children behind the counter being disruptive and distracting to the other employees who are their to work, as well as the guests who are trying to shop. Their buy back procedures and policies are ridiculous, they often wont take anything I've previously bought from there and wont accept some items due to their "condition" while I have walked around the store and picked out 10 items they were selling in worse conditions than what I'd brought.. This happened on numerous occasions. Their buy-back counter is often closed by 1pm. Do yourself a favor and spend the xtra $5-$10 in gas and go down the the Tallahassee store, it is far superior in all regards. read more

Have gone to Plato's closet twice within the last week to try to sell clothes. Both times their buy counter was closed. Will never go back again read more

I have NEVER had a good experience at this store whether buying or selling! Their buying policies seem to change depending on the mood of the salespeople and don't bother trying to return anything even if you do have your receipt! I won't be going back. read more

I drove about an hour to go sell my clothes here and when i get there they say they aren't taking any clothes atm! I asked if their was any possible way to look at them now and they weren't helpful at all. We also looked up it on a website and it said they take clothes at any time! I will never to business there again! I was telling my friends to go here now but i will never again!! read more

This store sold me a fake Michael Kors purse and refused I give me my money back! I also tried to sell them brand new (with tags) American Eagle clothes and they said that they were looking for more updated clothes, if you have spent at least 5 min in this store you would know that it's a hit or miss shop. Most of their clothes are from the 90s and very worn! Not too different from Goodwill... read more

Terrible. One employee told me I could return shoes and when I tried to they said shoes are final sale. Also they'll give you like $1.50 for newer clothes when the store is full of old overpriced clothes. I feel ripped off because I used the money I got for my clothes to buy the shoes and was misinformed. If I hadn't been misinformed I wouldn't have bought the shoes. read more

I will say I have purchased many items from this store and the stuff is nice and not worn. As far as the buying process I've sold stuff to them multiple times. I went back today (12-13-16) and tried to sell a few things the lady was very very rude.. she made me feel like I was bringing them trash and waisting their time. I was very disappointed in the way she spoke to me.. I will not be going back to this store now. read more
