The pricing was fair and reasonable, in line with a few others I checked out; but it was the professionalism that was my reason for choosing Gone Junk Removal. If you're considering 1-800-takeawayyourstuff or any of the other nationwide chains, you owe it to yourself to give Gone Junk Removal a look. I do not recommend Serene Lux Cleaning Services…read more I hired this company for a deep clean prior to moving into my home, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The owner provided a quote without ever viewing the property, which should have been a red flag. Two cleaners were sent out, and after approximately 8 hours, they left having completed only about half of the home. The areas they claimed to have cleaned were not done thoroughly or professionally. Despite this, I was told I still needed to pay the remaining balance because the workers "showed up and worked," even though the job was incomplete and poorly done. What was most concerning was the lack of communication and accountability: The team became "overwhelmed," yet I was never informed while they were on-site, even though I was present the entire time The owner later admitted she received updates and photos from her supervisor but still did not notify me Instead of correcting the issue, I was offered the option to pay additional hourly fees ($50-$90/hour) for someone else to finish the job that should have been completed initially I expressed my dissatisfaction and even provided photo evidence of the incomplete and poorly cleaned areas. Despite this, I felt pressured to pay the remaining balance to avoid potential conflict after just closing on my home. This experience was unprofessional, poorly managed, and not worth the cost. A deep cleaning service should be thorough, organized, and communicative--this was none of those. I would strongly advise others to choose a company that conducts an in-person walkthrough, provides accurate estimates, and stands behind their work.

Jose and his dad met me at a storage facility in Houston. My brother recently passed away, and I…read morehad no idea what was going to be in his storage locker. Being that I live in California, I had a limited amount of time to decide what I was going to keep or toss. Jose was super responsive and was able to come within a few hours. They removed all of the items that I had told them. I didn't want any longer. I had a lot of guilt throwing away so many things because my brother had very nice clothing but it wasn't worth it to me to have it shipped back to California. Jose assured me that his mom would go through the items and send them for donation. I felt like the price was fairly reasonable, especially considering how communicative he was and I was just happy they showed up and got the job done immediately.
