We used Platinum Restoration two times now. We've been very happy both times. The most recent time was right before we moved into a new house. The carpets looked worn. The previous owners had a pet and it showed. Jeremy did a wonderful job of cleaning and sanitizing the whole house. The carpets look brand new and there is no longer an odor. Shady, rude, and not at all helpful. I got a Groupon, long story short, over the course of 6 or 7 calls, they kept trying to talk me into letting them refund the groupon and then me pay. Whenever I told them I didn't want to do that, they would always come up with a reason not to schedule me. Call me back when I have my schedule on me. I'll call you back. etc... Avoid this company. Don't offer groupons if you don't want to honor them. read more

Platinum Restoration replied with a bid when I requested bids via the Yelp app for duct cleaning. They were easy to reach and easy to schedule the job with. I own a duplex, so the tech started on the 2nd floor, cleaning ducts and washing the vents, then 1st floor, and finally the basement. The job took longer than he expected, but he was very thorough and completed the cleaning, as well as cleaning the dryer vent, which I added to the order. The tech was personable, explained the process, and showed me the contents that were vacuumed out of the ducts. I've noticed my apartment is much less dusty since the cleaning. They say ducts should be cleaned every 5 years. I was very satisfied with the work completed and value of the service I received from Platinum Restoration, and I recommend them. read more

Jeremy was, by far, the most argumentative, unprofessional and blatantly rude service person I've ever dealt with. Tells me to cancel my groupon deal immediately and get their pkg deal directly through them. They only make $33 with Groupon and they can't get out to me within a week for Groupon deals. I tell him I can wait and he goes on to assure me he may not even want to "deal with me" as only GROUPON CUSTOMERS are so difficult. This guy is NUTS. I wouldn't let this loon clean my carpet for free. I hung up on him. I also blocked his number when he started texting and backpedaling on his reasoning for being INSANE. .... Great company! I had my floors cleaned by Alex. He was punctual and extremely kind. I showed him the areas I needed cleaned and I received a very fair price. There were areas that were soiled due to a puppy I was dog sitting and he miraculously got it all out... thank goodness! He was in and out in 45 minutes after cleaning 3 rooms and deep cleaning one. I highly recommend this company and will be using them again! I am very surprised to read the negative reviews below. I didnt experience any of that. Wow. I should have read the Yelp reviews before attempting to do business with this company. I contacted him by email to confirm that he would honor a Groupon for the job I had in mind. He was polite and helpful by email. We set an appointment Date and time. He requested my Groupon code. This should've thrown up a red flag. Whether I have a Groupon or not I would still owe him for any services provided at my home. I explained to him, by email, that if I gave him the code I would not be able to receive a full refund if he did not follow through and his services. He assured me that he was reliable and that I could provide him the code. I provided him the code and he confirmed the appointment by email. At no point did he mention that he had any policy that he would call once again in order to verify the appointment, like other professionals I have dealt with in the past. He apparently tried to reach me to confirm the appointment the day before. However I did not receive that phone call until the date of the appointment. Meantime my husband stayed home at the time that was verified and confirmed by email which I have documentation for. After the missed appointment, I checked my phone and found the call from Jeremy - I get a TON of spam on my personal phone so I only check it a couple times a week. Family and friends text me. I called him back and it was like talking with a totally different person than I have been communicating with via email. He was defensive, he talked over me, and And basically said that he didn't make enough money on Groupon. The cost of gas was too much to risk coming to $30 Groupon appointment that he could not verify by phone, although no point in our communication did he indicate that this was a requirement to confirm his services. He refused to take any responsibility or even acknowledge the email communication. The irony is that if he had remembered that he already confirmed the appointment, he would have had the code I sent and he could have redeemed it as a missed appointment. Just to check my own sanity, I went back to my email found the communication and verified everything that I have asserted in this review. Also as I had indicated to Jeremy, Groupon would not refund my $75. I had to settle for "Groupon" bucks that I had to use within 24 hours. As a customer, I have no idea what the relationship is between a contractor and Groupon. Also the change in personality was sort of scary. Maybe he was tired at the end of a long day, I don't know. My advice is don't use a Groupon with this business. They are apparently not making enough money on them anyway, and you would probably be doing them a favor. You might want trust the other reviews and hope that you catch them on a good day. You can see that the communication is very up and down. In the future I will ask any new contractor I deal with in WI - this is the first time in 20 years of homeownership across 4 states that I have experienced this- I will ask them for their EXACT policy to avoid any miscommunication. I am giving them three stars because if you can cipher how to communicate with this company, they apparently can do good work. And contracting is a hard business. But, I work hard long hours too. And I work best with businesses that are upfront and do not change the rules mid game. No NBA referees for me! read more

Classic bate and switch tactic. Booked through Groupon and was told to cancel Groupon as they would give us a "better package" directly. Upon arrival was told we would need additional pretreatment/chemical etc. was quoted $69 over the phone and after some back and forth, the price was actually $144. We were able to negotiate a little better deal. However, was disappointed with the customer service and rude attitude of the "manager" Jeremy. I recently purchased a new home and Platinum Restoration did an amazing job making the carpeting throughout the house look and smell like new. I wanted area rugs cleaned as a wolfdog we'd adopted left behind unknown pee spots. The area rugs are now so clean and no longer smell . I was amazed by how quickly the rugs dried. I've had rugs cleaned in place before (by other companies) and it took days for the rugs to dry. Jeremy responded quickly to my voicemail message, scheduled within a week, arrived on time, and was very pleasant to work with. In fact, I asked him for estimates for cleaning my window and power washing the house. His estimate arrived promptly and seems very fair so I will be scheduling this additional work. read more

They did my carpet on Thursday charged me 25 dollars to spray deodorizer per room and never sprayed the livingroom was supposed to come back Friday at 8am never showed up or never called I called Jeremy and asked why they did not show up I took off work so they can clean my carpet and he said "they had a late night". So he was supposed to come Monday never called or showed up again. Should have known when he walked in my house and did not take of his dirty shoes when he knows he is supposed to be cleaning my carpet. Living room still looks the same and they never did anything. If you were wondering he still to this day never called to reschedule and now I'm down 120 dollars. Also they are 3 blocks away from my house the house they cleaned the carpet for. read more

OMG, stay away from this company! Jeremy was rude, belligerent, disrespectful, argumentative and unprofessional. I won't let them into my home ever again! Jeremy is a jerk, this man has problems that I don't want to deal with. I can't say how well they clean because we fired the guy even before he began. He began by telling us that if we don't purchase the deep cleaning they won't guarantee their work. I gave him a tour and told him that the den and office didn't need to be cleaned and proceeded to go into the master bedroom explaining where the areas of concern were and found myself talking to myself. Where was Jeremy? ...he was out in the hall standing in front of the den looking at our things. I felt that he was nosey and invasive. I said again nicely, "that room doesn't have to be cleaned". He said sharply, "I heard you". He counted our great room as 2 rooms due to size was more than 200 sq. feet and that was the company max. (some other company max is 300). I said Ok and he continued to explain ad nauseam. He proceeded to prattle on and on and on about this issue even though I said ok I understand . Then he wanted the gate on the stairs for the dog removed. It was difficult to remove so I said just leave it. Then he went on and on and on about that step not being guaranteed. I said that's ok. Funny how acknowledging and agreeing didn't shut him up. The price quote was originally $214 and had jumped to $293 when the room doubled with the deodorizer and all. Then he went on to say that their prices and service are the cheapest around and I said actually Stanley Steemer is very close. He didn't like me saying that and he said, "I have my phone right here and I'll call them and see". I told him that wouldn't be necessary as we had hired him. He wouldn't drop the issue and went on and on and on and on about how he wanted to call SS and prove me wrong. I said " just get going and get to work". This guy was unbelievable, wouldn't drop the issue and went out to his truck talking the whole way out the door. That would have been the natural break to leave the issue but no...he returned with some gear and started in on the issue again. My husband who is a skilled Customer Relations Manager finally had it with this guy and said "ENOUGH"! I said, "You're outta here!". I'll tell you if we are ever robbed, this guy will be on the top of the list, he is just over the top weird, jerk. I asked my husband later, did I do anything to contribute to this man's behavior, he said, no the guy was an a**, totally out of line. Then I read the negative review posts and realized that this guy has a pattern of this behavior. I called the company to let them know about the situation and left a message to call me. Funny no return call when they didn't even know what I was calling about. You decide if you want to deal with this company. I called SS and they came over the next morning.
