Avoid this Dealership (Box & Trowbridge) and Nissan at all costs, for starters the salesman was not the brightest, who on the 3rd time of being told finally realised the car tax had run six weeks earlier, the aerial was missing, he got the price wrong (out by £300) and constantly harped on about his previous job for Honda (now I can see why ;-), the workshop applied glasscoat on top of blemishes and dried water marks, the door bracket wasn't checked, gap insurance cancellation took a month to come, Nissan were contacted and they referred it back to the salesman, who was swiftly moved on afterwards, so nothing really got done, the car had 2 big problems within the first year of ownership which needed repeat trips to resolve, e.g. when the heater stopped the mechanics said it was leaves, soon after it had to go back in and this time they actually did their job, the oil dipstick looked like it came out of a 90 year old car, the warranty was extended (which is NOT worth the money), the boot failed to open, A COMMON FAULT WITH NISSAN NOTES, the repair for this lasted 10 months, having experienced such poor service I got it done locally, for just £40, I wrote to the Director of Nissan Operations at Platinum and despite claiming best intentions, in a nut shell the impression I got back was; go away I'm not interested in answering your simple questions and what do you expect with a vehicle of this age".
Based on my own personal experience; If you desire a reliable car and would like to see good customer service, care and "genuine" best intentions go to Mazda, Honda or Mitsubishi, I've bought from all 3 and received nothing but excellent service and care.
Note to other; do not get glasscoating, even if it's done properly spending £20 in Halfords on some decent polish will have the same affect, do not get Gap insurance either from a Nissan dealership, visit ALA (backed by some good names) and you'll get it for a fraction of the price, if you go thru topcashback you'll get over 10% off the price back, I was quoted £299 by Nissan, I paid less than £70 with ALA.
Pass this information on, and hit the sales people where it hurts ;-). read more
