I'm 22 and although I've owned cars in the past, I've never had to make a decision on the purchase of one completely by myself - prime meat for the wheeler-dealers of the car world. I looked at several used car dealerships, before driving past this one with a friend - and went in the next day. The first thing that set this place apart was that when Justin (one of the owners) came over and asked if we wanted some help, he actually understood 'I'm just browsing'! He left me to it, and said if I had any questions to give him a shout. I found two Clio's and wanted to know the differences between them; he was open and honest and understood that I wanted to go away and think about it, etc. I went back a few days later and despite the fact that a) the car was a good price already and b) he ended up making very little money on the car, as I had a tight budget he was flexible with the price. Don't presume they are easily beaten down though as this would be offensive to them because they KNOW their cars, and are always doing repairs on the cars they get in themselves and they buy the cars - they are so knowledgable and yet won't fob you off if you don't have a clue about cars - genuinely lovely people. Unfortunately Mr Car aren't well advertised - the reason for this being the guys were so busy they found it hard to keep a website updated - although they now seem to have one which is great - www.mrcar-bristol.co.uk - however just rock along and look at what they have as the website doesn't do them justice - they have around 20 cars at one time but the website only shows 3 or 4. Five months on and my little Clio is brilliant - the rear wiper broke yesterday and my first thought was to call Justin and ask for his recommendation for a local garage - he also let me know the rough cost and even checked to see if he could fix it for me. Hence my review today as I suddenly realised how helpful they are and I think people should know that genuine people exist out there, because there are so many dealers who will screw you over happily. As I said right at the beginning, I would whole-heartedly recommend these guys to anyone. They're BRILLIANT.

Within 3 days, it was evident that there was a serious problem with overheating. 2 returns later the problem persisted. Then we were told it was a problem with brakes sticking - a blatant lie and not credible. Asked for refund which was refused. Needed independent inspection, many calls to credit company and to Edwards. Finally, refund given although did not settle for whole amount and we had run out of patience. Just glad to finish due to amount of hassle, Jason Edwards refusal to discuss, missing appointments, dragging his feet and outright lying about the vehicle. Be warned. Do not ever, ever buy a car from this man. I would leave a NO star review if I could.

I called them, parson attended told me can repair any time in 3 months time because of warranty. I couldn't go to them at that day because I'm working full time. Arranged my Day off in few weeks time and called them again to confirm my slot with mechanic. But the person attended told me to contact a private insurance company because they only do woks in first month and for next 2 months I have to contact and arrange with insurance company . So I Called the insurance company. They don't have any details of my car. So I really suspect they scammed me by saying it is covered for 3 mon

It isn't clear to see from glance, but they do actually offer a large range of cars, and they say that if you can find the car you are looking for then they will find it for you. In addition, they also buy cars from customers. From the front, the establishment looks crowded and dated, however the service you receive is better than most garages. I did also find that some of the cars didn't have their price displayed on the dashboard which I found a little irritating. The staff at Staple Hill Motor Co. are extremely friendly and welcoming. They in no way pressure you to purchase anything, and don't hassle you while you are browsing which is important to me.

Since owning my car for about 6 years I think I've been there twice for a service and 3 times for an MOT. I've found them to be reliable and efficient but haven't been there since I've found cheaper alternatives...apart from last year when they sent me a voucher for a free MOT. I think they wanted me back as a customer so I went and expected perhaps they might be slow because it was free - but they were very quick. I took it in and went for a wander round Avon Meads retail park - returned in an hour and they offered me a drink then 5 minutes later my car was ready. I was very pleased and would consider going back there, price dependent.

Since then the after care service has been A class. I was missing the service handbook so I spoke to Chris and within 48 hours it was delivered to me in person. This family run business has really restored my faith in second hand car salesmen. This company has been running for over 25 years and after meeting the Waite men I now know why. If only there was a brother lurking in the closet somewhere to make an honest woman out of me.

My father used to be in the car trade so buying a car has always been a terrible, terrible task due to his constant pushiness and checking this and checking that! Mine and Boris's story really is a beautiful love affair. I seen him, he winked at me, i went home, dragged dearest Daddy to the forecourt, he prodded and questioned him and then he agreed to let his little girl drive off in the sunset with the roof down and music blasting. The boys here are brilliant! in fact, i thoroughly enjoyed myself whilst my Dad shook and got his cheque book out. They popped my CD payer in for me free of charge and gave me a lovely tax disc holder which made me happy. This is a family run business and the choice of cars, finance and refreshments are brilliant. The garage is huge so after care service is top notch. Sadly, mine and Boris relationship is on the rocks i've had him 5 years now and have seriously neglected the poor dab. But you know how it goes?

A visit to the showroom is always something to look forward to! You see, they have a great complimentary coffee machine, where you can self-serve to your hearts content. This is certainly the most impressive service they offer, as far as i am concerned... but then again, I'm a female driver of a silly little Suzuki car that I inherited off my mother that is variously referred to as the Pope Mobile by my friends, or as the silly little old-lady car by myself... so as far as motor services go, I never get too excited about the rest... Gone are the days where i get to cruise round in a big fat Audi company car, as is my excitement about motoring in general! Somewhat unsurprising considering the circumstanes, I'm sure you'll agree!?! They also sell spare parts to the vehicularly challenged individuals like myself. I have just called them to get the colour code for my silly little car, as i need to get my bumper re-sprayed, owing to a minor fracas with a curb over the weekend. I have already established that Bart Motors out at Llandow Industrial Estate have a second hand bumper and wheel, and so all I now need to figure out is whcih colour the bumper needs painting, and the job 'ul be a gooden! They are brilliant at ordering in parts quickly as well, and I have no reservations in recommending them to equally ill-fated motorists like myself!
