Well back in November 2017 I was contacted by a man named Larry Mooshagian about refinancing my home. I told him I have previously tried twice, where both dragged on for like 5 months, and in the end they could not get it to work. I have an unusual situation where I was hit on my motorcycle and my income now comes from a self paid long term disability ins. through my previous work. The circumstances are that they pay me 60% of my salary, till i'm 70 yrs. old, and because the money tax wise is consider untaxable sick pay, it is basically cash money,therefore being pretty much what I made with taxes. He told me they were their own broker so they finance their own loans. I started receiving early retirement benefits from the Carpenters Union due to turning 55 about 2 weeks after accident. To me his communication was on the weak side all through those 5 months, but when I started putting a little pressure on do to taking so long, all the sudden he needed an award letter from Disability Ins. co. Really, after 5 months, get real. He had mentioned that we had to wait for house to close escrow, 3 houses down my street, so they could use those #'s., to make loan work. He had asked me for co- signer on multiple occasions. Well house never closed escrow, never heard from Larry. Left many messages of which he never returned any. Sent a few emails of which he never responded. I had to research who he worked for, and when i called I would ask is Larry in, they would say yes, may I ask who's calling, all the sudden they say, OH it looks like he has stepped out. I say BS. I waited 2 weeks and called back, said I was a different name, and low and behold, Larry picked up. I started telling him that what he presented to me was not professional at all, and he would say is your rt, your rt, just wanting to get me off the phone. I believe that all along he thought he would get me to get someone else to co-sign with me, thinking I'm desperate or something.I think that most of us that are trying to refi your homes, have something in mind for doing so, and would not appreciate being strung along like that with basically communication non existent. All in All, I've been through the refinance process like 6 times in last 15 yrs. having little issues here and there along the way, but never have I had such poor communication and lack of desire to provide service for me, hands down. Heck when I was in hospital for 2.5 months I was in the middle of a refi prior to accident, they would come to hospital and visit, trying to complete it. No one else, from PFS, even contacted me to try to talk to me, to present some different angle or something, to which I see as weak and also a little odd. I feel towards the company of "Platinum Financial Services" as a whole, that I couldn't be more dissatisfied with the way things were handled. Not one person had the respect for a fellow human being to even call me and say, sorry sir, we just couldn't make the #'s work. That to me is completely unacceptable regardless of my unusual situation. I would not recommend this company not only for the poor communication but also, even though they could not help me, know one contacted me to at least try to ease things with me, in a professional way, that their sorry this has taken so long and that they were unable to help me. Feels like , they weren't going to make any $ out of it, that they weren't going to waist another minute of their time.That just does not sit rt with me. read more
