The dealership confirmed that water intrusion from the improperly installed windshield caused failure of the fuse block and body control module, resulting in over $4,000 in repairs. I attempted multiple times to contact the technician (who gave inconsistent names and is now unresponsive), but all calls and messages have been ignored. They were able to schedule an appointment at very short notice. They provided a 2hr window... unfortunately the tech did arrive about 30min after the window had closed. Fortunately I was available @ that time. The tech was friendly and was able to fix the chip in my windshield. Note that (just like all techs) they will not be able to totally remove the chip (so it will be slightly visible). However, it should not deteriorate further into a crack. The tech did explain this in advance. I'm not sure how much repair typically costs, but did think that the price was fairly reasonable. I would not hestitate to use them again. read more

This jerk (Noel) screwed up my windshield replacement. Left huge gap that allowed cold air/condensation to freeze on the INSIDE of glass. He came back to correct problem and not only did he leave NEW gaps, but also was so sloppy that there was now silicone sealer stuck to the outside of the windshield that prevented my wiper from working properly. Noel, the technician and owner I believe owner, not only provided the best price to replace a cracked windshield we had; he also came to the house on a weekend with short notice and did a great job. The car required special glass, since it has a lane assist features (that consist of dashboard cameras). Noel assured me the replacement glass he installed will work fine with the feature and it did. He and Platinum Autoglass were recommended by my wife's colleague, as we were shopping around for quotes. I called, and he gave me a quote over the phone, based on my car year and model. The other places that I called gave me the whole, "Well, we'll need to see it before the estimate because you could have rain sensors in your windshield and not know it" routine. I called Platinum, yesterday. Noel set up the appointment for this morning (9am - 11am timeframe) and said that he'd call within a half hour of arriving at my car. He called at 9:10am, arrived at 9:30am, and the windshield was done by 10:15am. On top of everything else, it was over $150.00 less than Safelight's quote, with a very reasonable 2 hr time window. When we called Safelight, it was such a cluster, because they kept assuming we were insured by one of their affiliate insurance companies. So, they kept giving us different numbers to call. Inquired online through their site, got a response in less than an hour, and followed up to see when they could come by which was about an hour or so from my call. They called me when they said they would, before arriving, and came on time. Noel was great, explained the process and how long it would take, replaced my inspection sticker and mirror perfectly, no leaks, no problem since the install.
