Very disappointed with new ownership that took over a year or two ago. My husband had been buying me flowers from here for years. We were always so satisfied. The flowers were always fresh, smelt beautiful, arranged beautifully, and the service always came with a smile. We were told a couple of years ago that the shop was switching management or owners, I don't quite remember to be honest. My husband still would get my flowers there until I told him to stop. I noticed under the team that the flowers didn't quite have the quality they used to nor would they live long. I noticed my bouquets would start welting after just a few days. My latest experience was this past Valentine's Day my husband bought me a dozen long stem roses (which aren't cheap as you know) and not even a week later they are dead. Under the old team my flowers and roses would last at least a couple of weeks. This is very disappointing, we will stop giving them our business. read more

I gave her photo ideas and a theme and she made it a reality. Everyone loved the flowers and bouquet. I got comments all day and even after when my friends look at the photos. Very poor customer service. I had an appointment today at for flowers for my wedding. I drove an hour to get here just to find a sign on the door saying they are closed today when they scheduled this appointment with me during their normal business hours on Saturday. This clearly was an unexpected circumstance where they had to close the store early or for the day and I completely understand emergencies or if you're sick however, I would have really appreciated a phone call before driving all the way up there. This was very disappointing and stressful given the limited options there are even are for flowers in this area. read more

If I could give this florist 1000 stars I would. I am very happy and pleased with the service i received on a recent Mother's Day order. Initially I had set up for the delivery to happen the Friday before to her work, but then was made aware the night before that she had taken Friday off. I was frantically trying to change everything to get it delivered to the house instead and although it was well after business hours they responded to my Facebook message and agreed to change the delivery address no problem. The flowers arrived and they were beautiful my mom said it was the prettiest arrangement she's ever gotten. Only problem was the next morning the greenery starting wilting which we thought was odd. I sent another Facebook message with a picture and got a prompt reply that this was not normal at all. They suggested a few things to try to see if it kept the rest from wilting too but it was to no avail. The order was replaced and delivered to her house yesterday no charge. Absolutely excellent customer service. I will be ordering from them again soon! read more

Not only was she easy to talk with, but she was down to earth, professional but not in a stuffy way, and she made my wedding look amazing. I asked her some general questions first, then made an actual appointment to talk about what I wanted for the Day, knew exactly what look I was going for, gave great suggestions, helped me stay on budget - even though I apparently have expensive tastes, was prompt on the day of, even gave me some additional leftover flowers that went with my theme and color scheme, and provided me with beautiful flowers for the day. Upsetting. Flowers delivered on wrong date. My confirm email had the correct date. The order in their online shop had no date. Our surprise for our Mother was ruined as the flowers arrived 2 weeks early before the event took place. I spent almost $150 on the arrangement which really hurts. My daughter lives out of town and has been sending me flowers from this shop for years. She is a busy mom of small children so I don't bother her by complaining about the flowers, she is so super sweet and thoughtful to remember me with flowers, which she knows I love, and it really is the thought that counts. But over the years I have been consistently disappointed by the bouquets. Despite that I add water daily, the flowers begin to fade the very next day after delivery and the bouquet is usually pretty dead by the 3rd day. I have worked with fresh flowers and know that they can stay attractive MUCH longer. I have tried to contact the owner twice to have a conversation about this, but I seem to miss her when I go into the shop and she does not return my phone calls. Thus this review. I do not recommend this shop. read more

I live in Texas and have used Flowers on main for several years since my Mom has had several surgeries and health issues besides Birthdays and Mothers day. My Mom unfortunately fell and broke her femmer and it was her birthday and of course I sent flowers. I saw a bouquet on FTD arrangements and asked Main St Flowers if they did those and they said no but they would look it up and get it as close as they could. I told them absolutely no lilies they reminded me of funerals. Soooooooo my brother sends me a picture of the flowers and right off I notice there was no yellow and to my horror they was 5 lilies. So I called about my disappointment and they said they would replace them. Well they did and the reception desk at Marshall hospital all told my Mom those are the worst arranged bunch of flowers that they have ever seen and still not bright and cheery like spring that I asked for they were dark. My Mom was told a florist from Shingle Springs even took a picture because they couldn't believe how bad they looked. Mel is fantastic! I used Placerville Flowers on Main for my wedding and was so pleased with everything. I don't live locally, so I didn't have an opportunity to meet with Mel in person to discuss the flowers, so we corresponded via email. I told her I wanted a burgundy/peach color scheme and sent her photos of our clothes, the altar my uncle built for us and all of our decorations/place settings. Based off of that she sent me some options to choose from and it was a pretty easy progress. I will say, she's not always great at following up with email, so phone might be a better way of communicating. The arrangements were STUNNING, she totally nailed it! Wow! I called for a flower delivery after lunch on Monday and spoke with Melissa. I was hoping for a birthday delivery that afternoon and she said "Absolutely, we can do it" which was great. When the birthday girl received her flowers she sent me a picture and they were an absolute knock out! Great place. Lady who helped me over the phone was really helpful and nice. I saw their website and just called their number and was helped right away. Was having a hard time placing orders on other websites like 1800flowers and other sites like that, that weren't very helpful. The other websites only have a limited amount of network resource information in their data base and have a hard time registering delivery information for more remote areas and I was not given an option to deliver flowers for mother's day. But I just called up the shop Placerville Flowers On Main Street, told her I wanted some flowers delivered to my mother for mother's day and they were delivered the same day. I highly recommend this fine establishment. While the internet and websites are great for buying certain things, non chain shops like these that still exist are proof that fine customer service and small businesses will always win the day in the end and a computer can't convey emotion and provide you assurance.
