Nothing else- just mums; not arranged. Price tag: $80 Wow! That's how you treat new customers? I will not return or recommend this business. Small town businesses rely on word of mouth. Her kindness deserves 5 stars, the bouquet maybe a 3, but I can't get over the fact that they lost the order & my poor husband ended up empty handed on my birthday. I needed a great flower arrangement for my 30th wedding anniversary. I wanted an arrangement that I thought would be great for my anniversary. I told them what I wanted. I was told that they would call around for the type of flowers I want. They spent three days calling different wholesalers. They found that the flowers I wanted were not in season. They were able though to make up the type of arrangement I wanted with flowers that were very close to the colors of the ones I had requested. Such an easy process and very professional! I ordered an orchid from Placerville Flowers on Main for Mothers Day. A week in advance and they still had plenty of inventory it seemed like. Their website was very easy and straightforward. Most importantly, the orchid was even more beautiful than I even expected, it is giant! My mom was ecstatic, it makes a beautiful foyer decoration. They hand wrote the note I had included as well which was a really nice touch considering I was not able to see my mom physically on Mothers Day. 11/10 would recommend! Worth every penny! read more

I needed flowers for my mother's memorial, and decided to try Flowers on Main in Placerville. I had not used them before. I went in and spoke to Mandy about what I was thinking of for the memorial. I didn't want the flowers to be serious typical funeral flowers. My mom loved flowers and gardening, and I envisioned summery colorful flowers to celebrate her life. Mandy was very helpful and understood what I had in mind. The morning of the memorial, Flowers on Main did not disappoint. They delivered them on time and the flowers were stunning! I have used this florist before and I was a return customer. The conversation with Debbie who took my order was as follows: Me: "How much do I have to spend to knock the ball out of the park" (this is a euphemism for "hitting a home run"?) I wanted something that was exceptional not just another arrangement". Debbie: "One hundred dollars" Me: I want something really special. Debbie: "We can send a really nice box of chocolates with it." Me: o.k. Debbie: "That will be $153.70". That was quite a price jump from $100 but I was prepared to spend ANY amount to accomplish my purpose and didn't balk at the price. The arrangement was for a friend that had just gotten shattering news. The flowers were sent without the chocolates. I called them and left a message that I was upset about them frustrating the purpose of the agreement to send the "out of the ballpark" arrangement of flowers and chocolates. My order was a contract with them to perform a specific task which they did not do. They frustrated the purpose of the agreement by not sending the chocolates and are not entitled to payment. The fact that the recipient received an arrangement is irrelevant. They did not receive what I ordered. They called back two days later and said they would send the chocolates that day. I told them to forget it the purpose of sending the flowers had been frustrated. I told them I wanted a full refund and if they agreed I would leave them a Yelp review to the affect that there was an issue but I was happy because they resolved it or I would leave a review stating the facts. The person I spoke with said she would contact Debbie and the store owner. That was the last I heard from them and it is now 3 days later. They made no adjustment to the credit card charge of any kind, no phone call, nada (the charge has now been placed in dispute). TAKEAWAY-Sending flowers is always an emotional experience. You are trying to convey something to the recipient that will create an emotional response, usually up lifting their mood. It is the florists JOB to make sure your sentiments are conveyed according to your whishes (your order). They have no other job. It is what they are paid for. They should have someone in the shop at all times that can make decisions that require adjustments. The idea of contacting two people and getting the owners authority in my opinion shows a lack of concern for customers. There is no excuse for filling not filling an order as instructed, it was written down. How hard is it to make sure you are filling an order for flowers and chocolates correctly? That is what people pay them for. They didn't care that a negative Yelp review was going to be left. In other words, they don't care about what their customers have to say. read more

I have used this company twice to send flowers to a friend in Placerville. Unfortunately the last time I tried to do so I got excuse after excuse as to why they weren't delivered. I then asked for a refund and got no response. I had to have my credit card demand a refund from them. After talking with my friend she told me the fact that they said that she was in a rural area an hour and a half away when she's really only 20 minutes away was total nonsense. My bouquet was exactly what I wanted and the floral piece they made for the ceremony was absolutely perfect I couldn't have imagined it better! Awesome customer service! I called in from an out of state business trip today, and needed flowers delivered. Even though everything was done over the phone, the arrangement was exactly what I wanted. Placing the order: Super easy. Called in, asked a few questions and the lady on the phone was very knowledgable. I explained what I needed and asked if same-day delivery was possible, and it was. Delivery: It was delivered within an hour! I'm so glad I chose to order from here because it was somewhat of an emergency, and it actually was delivered in perfect timing. The gentleman called me to confirm once he arrived at the location and I explained where to place it, and he did it perfectly! Arrangement: Exactly how I explained it on the phone. Simple and pretty, the note had no errors and it wasn't forgotten like 90% of other places I have ordered from that forget something or misspell words. Pricing: Not expensive and very reasonable. There is a $15 delivery fee (it may differ depending on the distance, I'm not sure) and the arrangement was not overpriced. Will be using them again :-) read more

We had the pleasure of working with Melissa at Placerville Flowers On Main for our wedding in Pilot Hill. We contacted them about a month before our wedding day. We are out-of-towners, so we never met with Melissa, saw any flowers in person, ect... everything was done by email... so we were quite nervous at the outset. They were quick in responding to our emails, and within a few days, Melissa had put together a comprehensive quote based on what we were looking for. We had a relatively tight budget for flowers, and Melissa was outstanding in making suggestions to keep costs low while still giving us our vision. She suggested cheaper flowers that have the same look as more expensive ones while not sacrificing quality at all. She even told suggested a cheaper alternative to our guests throwing flower petals (used biodegradable confetti instead), even though it meant that it took money out of her pocket. And then there are the flowers. Melissa and her team put together beautiful bouquets and boutineers for the wedding party. We wanted sunflowers and succulents that fit in with the vibe of the area. She also got us bunches and bunches of big and bright sunflowers that we scattered around the venue. Everything was fresh and lasted for about 3 or 4 days after the ceremony, even in the hot California sun. We received so many positive comments on the flowers and could not be happier. Their prices are super-reasonable as well compared to other quotes that I received in the area. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a florist in the area. read more

I contacted this shop in hopes of ordering flowers for my wedding, first I was told I needed to fill out an online form and was then told that I would get a consultation appointment afterwards. I filled out the form, was never contacted back. I went online and found out the shop was closed for the following week (not a big deal...). I then contacted the shop via phone the Monday after their shop opened back up. A woman answered the phone and I spoke with her about possibly having a consultation appointment to order my wedding florals. She put me on hold and went to talk to the main flower person/owner. When she came back to the phone she said the lady was busy and that I would get a call back. I left my information and never got any call back. Flash forward to a few days later, I contacted the shop yet once again inquiring about scheduling a consultation/appointment and the same thing happened, the main flower lady was busy and I was asked for my contact information once again. I gave my contact information yet again and still received no call or email back. Flash forward to a few weeks later ( I obviously went somewhere else for my business at that point) and I received an email that they were "sorry that they kept missing me" (what?! Not once did they ever reach out!) and that they were already fully booked for the month of my wedding. Throughout this whole wedding planning process I have learned that apparently there are businesses in the industry that don't want your business. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, there is an amazing florist in Cameron Park. Besides I have read reviews about this florist that they deliver on the wrong dates. I received​ a message the next morning saying, "Good thing you ordered them on time and thanks for letting us know". She stated that the flowers would be delivered later that afternoon, with no discount or consideration given whatsoever. This is completely unacceptable and extremely poor customer service.
