Horrible horrible horrible. They take a huge deposit show up to measure, cancel the first install appointment, come a week late to install, they mismeasured ant the shutters do not fit. They show up 2 weeks later make a mess installing don't clean up don't put the desks back and then to top it all off they came with a straight job and would not remove the old shutters GREAT what am I supposed to do with them? This company is more than 5 star. I had a bow window that was oddball but they knew exactly what to do. The same with my palladian window! They did such a professional job on this window that was not even on both sides. It was incredible! I could visibly see the uneveness of the arch. I don't know how they figured that out but they did! They are amazing! I am so pleased with the quality of the shutters and their professionlism. Sabina did a great job and so did the rest of the crew. I can tell they take pride in making sure a customer is happy and that they deliver a quality product. These shutters add value to your home not only for your own enjoyment, but if and when you go to sell it, it is a fixed asset that increases the value of your home. They insulate your windows and add an elegance factor that is so lovely. I can only smile every time I look at them. The lines are so clean. This is a family owned business and they make the shutters in their own factory right here in Port Saint Lucie. Delivery is quick, like 7-12 days. It is amazing. Others I know have waited for 9 weeks because they are outsourced to China. That is not the way to go if you have issues you need a local company that honors their products and installs them as well. Who wants to wait 9 weeks either. You also need a professional install because these are not easy for anyone who does not do this professionally. It is a skill they have perfected. I had a great experience dealing with this company. I called Melody DuPlooy who a friend of mine recommended. She came to my home within 2 days, took measurements, showed me samples, helped me decide what I wanted done. She gave me a great price & said my shutters would be ready in 7 to 10 days. One week later my shutters were installed. The installation process worked like a charm. Another company told me it would take 8 to 10 weeks to get the shutters & their "discounted" price was twice what Plantation Shutters Florida quoted. I am a professional Cabinet Shop and I called Plantation Shutters of Florida to ask if they made Fixed Louvered Doors. They told me yes so I sent over the dimensions and requirements for the project and clearly stated what I was looking for . .10 Stain Grade Fixed Louvered Vented doors. I waited a week for a response and nothing. I called again and was told that someone would contact me . . again a week goes by and no contact. I then sent an e-mail to Santos personally and finally received a response which he then pushed it off to the same woman that told me someone would contact me. I again e-mailed the requirements I was looking for . . Stain Grade Fixed Louvered Vented Doors. They responded with the recommendation that the Louvers be Fixed ( which is what I had asked for in every e-mail as well as on the phone) They sent me a quote and I asked what the lead time was. They told me about 4 weeks, I do not know why they state that your able to get your product within 5 days. One month was not a problem as I had time. Six weeks go by and I call to check on my order, they told me I would receive them in 3 days . . I asked about getting them delivered they told me $75 to deliver them to my shop in Tampa. 5 days later they called and told they were ready and then told me it would be $150 to deliver. Not a good business practice. The product showed up and they were wrong . . they made Plantation shutters with all the louvers movable with the center rod. I called to tell them they were wrong and they told me that is what I ordered. So after arguing with the woman on the phone which told me that I would have to give them another $1100.00 deposit she finally had Santos call me and I had to prove to him that in every correspondence with his company I had requested Stain Grade Fixed Louver Vented Doors. He finally agreed to remake them ( Without additional cost) and told me I would have them in 3 days . .( 6 weeks to get the first ones and then they can do the correct ones in 3 days?). Well in my professional opinion their quality is terrible. They reused the Louvers which had all the staple holes in them from the first set where the center rod was attached as well as glue all over them ( These are supposed to be Stain Grade . . No Holes). Also the Louvers are not parallel with the top and Bottom and Rails. It appears they just threw these together. I am having to spend a considerable amount of time trying to sand off all the glue as the stain will not take at those areas. I would not recommend buying any product from this company due to very poor performance. Thank you . . . Jim read more
