I coincidentally at Chiltern Fire House years ago when current Planque chef Sebastian was running it and somehow turned it into London's see and be seen venue. Luckily I ate there before the crazy happened and the food was outstanding. Cut to present day and chef Sebastian is still killing it, but in a much more mellow and a bit out of the way venue in Haggerstown. If you get off the overground it's a short skip from the exit. Unless you are me and walk all the way around the canal by mistake. Even with mapping tech I did this. But it was a nice day and I got to take in a neighborhood I'd never been to before.
Luckily my party was all locals except for me and they were already digging into the wine. Apparently this is a restaurant, a pop up venue and a members club where said members swill a lot of wine. I was just glad I wasnt too late and got some amazing food. As they say do as the locals and my friends just had them cook for us and that was super key. Perhaps some of the dishes I would never had chosen surprised me and were quite excellent. I know some folks want to be in control but i think this is a good place to also be pleasantly surprised.
