Thank you, Planned Parenthood. For considering me as a patient and not an object in an algorithm. I have great private insurance and have used a private OBGYN my whole life. I was referred to a private OBGYN by my PCP as I have been on oral birth control for 10+ years and wanted to discuss the option of the non-hormonal copper IUD. The provider did not even have a discussion and simply asked what I wanted. So we schedule to have the IUD placed when my period starts. I call when it starts and she only works two days a week so my period would be over by the time she is in. So wait another month, well now she is on vacation during my period. I become frustrated and look for another OBGYN to place the IUD. Everyone wants two visits: one initial and one to place. I work full-time and to take that much time off work doesn't fit every patient. As a supporter of Planned Parenthood, I thought hm why don't I call them. The woman on the phone was very kind and informative. She informed me I could have the IUD same day. Also you can book appointments online. I went in that afternoon and saw Melissa Wilson who was super informative. Talked about various IUDs. I like how she asked about abuse as this was never been asked at any OBGYN appointment I have attended. So I had it placed that day. It was painful. Very. Melissa was so encouraging and took her time to coach me through the placement. The whole staff were really incredibly kind. I will support Planned Parenthood every chance I get. Planned Parenthood use to be my doctor, back in the day and I've ALWAYS had a Great experience, specifically at this location. I actually used them as my OB, both times while pregnant. Dr. Green was 1 of the Doctor's and she was very Thorough and Professional. Overall, I have nothing but Positive things to state about, 'Planned Parenthood'. Thank You! read more

I moved to Tulsa without insurance. Finding a doctor for my prenatal care was very hard, but my cousin told me to check with Planned Parenthood and I ended up finding this clinic. I thought they only gave out birth control or did abortions. Turns out this clinic focuses on prenatal care and birth control. They don't even do abortions, but refer people to somewhere else. I was monitored by a doctor through my whole pregnancy, which was a great relief! It's a good thing I did too, because I developed an infection in my uterus. Had I not had a doctor I could have lost my baby. I had a beautiful baby girl (7pounds 4 ounces) and she is doing great and is 2! It's not a fancy clinic, but I found it to be clean and the staff friendly and professional. My doctor took his time with me and always answered my questions. If you don't have insurance or are strapped for money, I would definitely recommend going to this clinic. read more

I know there are women who need prenatal care and need financial assistance but I warn you do not go to this clinic. Everytime you go for a scheduled appointment the "counsilors" will try to talk you into having an abortion. Also recently my sister-in-law was bleeding and went to Planned Parenthood to get checked out. They told her she was fine, to go home & not to worry. A week later she lost the baby at 5 and a half months. The hospital told her she should have talked to her primary care provider and when she told them what happened they were not surprised because Planned Parenthood is pro-abortion even if you are not. these people do NOT care one iota. The hospital said it has happened before. This place is dirty inside too. The vaccination woman held my daughter down and left a bruise on her leg. Needless to say I filed a complaint and we checked out of that place & started going somewhere safe. read more
