I have seen two different midwives so far during my pregnancy; Molly Kerstetter and Laura Neal. I LOVE both women and I trust them entirely with my health and the health of my baby. I am so impressed how they remember me every time I come in and they always take my questions and concerns to heart. I hope to have one of them for when my delivery day arrives but it cannot be guaranteed. Noting my interactions with the rest of the staff, I feel confident that no matter who my midwife will be on that day, I will be in good care. Everybody from the nurses to the receptionist are all such wonderful people who make me feel important every time I am seen. I have known so many people who are not confident in their care at their Gynecologist office so I truly feel lucky that my insurance covers this office and that I don't have to deal with some of the things I have heard other women go through. However, at the following appointment the new provider was unfamiliar with my concerns, and the cycle repeated. I specifically requested that standard labs be drawn, including urine protein and other routine monitoring I am accustomed to seeing in the hospital setting. These tests were never ordered, so I obtained them independently through Quest Diagnostics. I was also told my iron levels were normal, yet no iron studies had been performed. My hemoglobin was later found to be 8.0, confirming that my iron status was, in fact, not normal. When I alerted the team that my results were trending toward pre-eclampsia, my concerns were not addressed. Instead, I was asked if I "just wanted to be done" and was offered an elective c-section at 37 weeks. My goal was not convenience -- I wanted both myself and my baby to be safe, particularly given my age of 40. Ultimately, I delivered via emergency c-section, was discharged, and within a day required readmission for postpartum pre-eclampsia -- a complication I had repeatedly raised concern about and that was not appropriately addressed.

Flash forward to 2020, me and my spouse were trying for a baby and Dr. Fish gave me all of the normal pre cenception tips and tricks. We tried for about 8 months, came back and he referred us to another place. Then we stopped trying and I went back onto birth control by Dr. Fish and asked for it to be continuous. He said that was fine, but since then I've had issues getting refills from his office. Everytime I've gone back, he's given me the same stuff but he puts it in as use the generic at the pharmacy after several times asking him to notate the brand name since I have so many issues with bleeding on different brands. It's the same with Sandra Dunn and when I'm not due for a pap, they still make me come in to get checked just for a refill when they don't need to. I'm going somewhere else because it's frustrating to just get one med for the year and keep it as the same med.
