He took the time to sit down with me and walk through different types of pipe tobacco, blends, leafs, and cuts. Then we got into pipes themselves -- I brought one of mine, and he helped me discover it's an English pipe from the mid-70s made by Comoy, called the Everyday Man Pipe (Canadian shape, model 299). Turns out I've been sitting on a little treasure! I ended up picking up a few different tobaccos, and I'll definitely be back. The shop has a great selection, and the vibe is just as good -- while I was there, they greeted everyone who walked through the door by name. I also met Daryl, another great guy who clearly loves what he does. Fantastic local business, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and easily the best spot in the Charleston area for pipes and pipe tobacco. Support local -- you won't regret it.
