Kickass countertop place. I went in with a budget and they came in below my budget. I did not have to negotiate any price or anything like that. Fair price for what I got and I am quite happy. They coordinated with me and my friend/project manager while I was in Hawaii surfing. Cassandra helped us through selecting a smaller island partial slab selection to replace our cooktop island - and try to blend it in to the more than 100sq ft of granite elsewhere in our kitchen. She spent time with us looking through granite and quartz choices, until we found something that complemented (as matching our 15 yr old granite wasn't an option) our existing materials. Then we moved on to new master bathroom vanity tops - quartz this time - and we found a perfect choice. Templating was scheduled and completed on time, and the installation team did a fantastic job. Planet Stone installed quartz tops for a new island, two vanities, kitchen pass-through, and a long back counter with range cutout. From start to finish, our experience with Planet Stone has been exceptional. We worked with Gina from the beginning. She is a jewel! Very easy to work with, always on top of our project, adjusted for changes as we went along, and kept us informed. John did the templating and was also amazing! He was very exacting and it all came out perfect. Also appreciated that they kept the pattern in the stone running up from the counter onto the backsplash. We were in the market for new countertops in the kitchen and two bathrooms. We received a couple of quotes and Planet Stone Marble & Granite was the one we chose. We worked with Lisa and she helped us pick out beautiful stones and stayed within our budget. The other places were 2K to 3K more expensive. All of staff from the person that measured and the installers were very professional and super helpful, explaining every bit of the process. Our new granite countertops are exceptional. John came out and did his magic by computer measuring, the installers were friendly, competent, and treated our questions with complete honestly, and were truly artists, and Cassondra made sure everything came together. The one downside is they do not do carpentry, electrical or plumbing. You are challenged to coordinate, the various trades, but the results are well worth the challenge. read more

After receiving estimates from several companies, I elected to have Plant Stone install new countertops in my kitchen. I'm glad I did as the installation was exactly as quoted and flawlessly executed. Unlike some of the larger marble/granite/quartz fabricators in the area, Planet Stone does not offer free, in-home measurement services. However, since I already knew that I wanted Cambria Windermere quartz installed in my kitchen and how any square feet of product I would require based on measurements taken at my home by other companies, I was able to obtain an estimate simply by emailing rough drawings reflecting such measurements to Brooke Keck, President of Planet Stone. Moreover, I found Brooke to be extremely receptive and responsive to my many questions thereafter. In fact, I would generally receive a reply within minutes of having sent her an email, irrespective of the time of day of my inquiry. The templating was conducted by Operations Manager, John Karnitz who also was on hand to supervise the actual installation the following week. He and is crew did a fabulous job. They arrived on time; removed and disposed of the existing Formica countertops and sink; installed the new countertops; seated the new sink, faucet and soap dispenser (all of which I had purchased independently); and thoroughly cleaned the area before departing. Most importantly, it is nearly impossible to detect the single location in which they needed to seam the quartz to fit perfectly. It should be noted that Planet Stone does not provide plumbing, electrical and/or carpentry services. They are strictly fabricators and installers. Consequently, any such work will need to be performed by the homeowner or an outside contractor. (Planet Stone can recommend plumbers, electricians and/or other subcontractors if necessary.) In any case, I would highly recommend Plant Stone for anyone interested in marble, granite or quartz fabrication and installation. read more

I emailed my request for an estimate complete with detailed drawing and exact measurements. Their site mentions a reply in 24 hours. It's been well past that. I'm still waiting for an email reply or phone call. They're either too busy or just they just don't want to go after the business. At least, they should send back an email promising a followup call. I'm not impressed at this point and after reading reviews before I contacted them, I'm very disappointed. read more

I have been wanting to write this review after every interaction with Planet Stone but knew I really should wait until my counter tops were installed . My husband and I went to Planet Stone unannounced., Sherry spent a good hour with us and gave us four quotes while we were there. Unlike some other places they have the material at their facility. The next day I called with my decision and I was given a template date and an install date. They stuck to both those dates. The template took a while but when he was done he had my counters drawn up so he could show me where the seam would be and anything else he wanted me to be aware of. Counters are now installed and they are perfect. Everyone is so nice and they certainly run a tight ship. I highly recommend them. read more

I wish my review was as good as others... My experience started out great; my salesperson helped me make great choices in granite counters, sinks, and gave great advice on making the accompanying purchases of faucets. The dishwasher was ready to be replaced and so I asked if I should do that before or after the countertop install. Here's where it all went sideways... I was told it didn't matter at all because all dishwasher measurements were standard. So imagine my frustration when the new dishwasher was installed after the counter installation and it didn't fit because of how the counter was braced, which didn't matter with the old dishwasher... When I called to explain the problem I was told they did it right and if I wanted them to come back and fix it, it would be another charge. I then called my salesperson who said regardless of what she said, that that's another department and she couldn't do anything. So, rather than give them another penny, I hired someone else to fix it. I hope it was worth the cost savings to them to lose a customer and future recommendations. read more

Planet Stone is AMAZING! I have had my kitchen (June 2015), my inside bar (11/2015) and my outdoor kitchen (November 2015) done by the Stone Squad and I cannot say enough good things about them. The owners are involved every step of the way, they brought up things even my contractor did not tell me about, things I had no idea about. I am so happy and blessed to have found them to work with. They are truly hard working people who care about their customers. We are getting ready to do a new office space and will be using them for the kitchen and the receptionist desk! I cannot wait. I was very satisfied with my kitchen project, which had some tricky aspects to it (removal of granite while keeping my existing backsplash) and when I did call about addressing one minor issue, someone was sent out within hours and problem solved! I was treated so poorly at this place I had to just cancel my order and leave. With a couple of phone calls I was ready to purchase the granite for my house. While there to pick out the granite color I was treated horribly. The sales lady would walk away while I was asking questions, snap at me, and then began to raise her voice at me. At that point I told her I could not do business with this company and left highly concerned that if I was treated this way before the sale how would I be treated after the sale. read more

We ordered a vanity top from Planet Stone for our new bathroom. The top is very nice. HOWEVER......the pop up for the faucet we chose will not come up or down. The hole for the faucet was cut so that it won't work. The pop up lever is on the back of the facet and with the backsplash, there's no room. We called Planet Stone and were treated rather rudely. The manager tried to blame us !! He first tried to say we must not have shown the guy who measured for the template the faucet. We did but he didn't even look at it or take it out of the box. Next, he tried to say we should have chosen different cabinetry. Why didn't the guy cutting the template mention this might be a problem ? Satisfied with the top but quite dissatisfied with the ensuing customer service. I cannot for the life of me fathom why the manager would blame us for their mistake. No offer of any kind of discount, apology, or anything else for their mistake. I now have to find a faucet with a pop up positioned so that it'll clear the backsplash. read more

WE had Planet Stone install granite for our modest size kitchen and with extra pieces, they did a bath counter top and window sill. The service, measurements and install were first class. We are very happy with the quality of the sinks and hardware we purchased withthe counter tops. We are ready to use them again for our next kitchen / bath remodel. Very impressed!! read more

Totally ripped off by Planet Stone Marble and Granite! We paid top dollar for the small amount of Quartz countertop needed for our tiny kitchen. The installers spent maybe 20 minutes installing our two pieces of countertop (one very small) and left. We immediately noticed that our stovetop sat a full inch higher than our countertop and looked terrible! We called Planet Stone to ask their cooperation in helping us solve this problem. Instead of helping us, they took full advantage of our situation by charging us $500 - take it or leave it - to remove the countertops and reinstall them after we had a carpenter raise the height of our cabinets. Again, we have a very small kitchen and it took very little time to accomplish the removal and reinstallation. In the interim, the countertops were placed on our front porch just outside the kitchen; it didn't even entail them having to return the countertops to their facility. All in all, a terrible experience. read more

We had our granite replaced with Quartz by Planet stone. Johnny was very helpful, showed us the Quartz and did the deal. They came out to the house, measured the countertops and ordered the stone. They measured the bar sink incorrectly,and upon installation we found they put in the wrong size sink. They did come out and removed it, took it back and resized it to the correct size, using our old sink. Problem is we paid them for a NEW sink. They did not charge anything for the rework, but we are out the $275.we paid for the incorrect sink. After several phone calls, they said Brooke was not going to refund us the cost of the sink! NOT GOOD!! read more
