I've been shopping at eating at Planet Organic for four years, therefore you can imagine my horror of finding a black hair in my small box of warm food. I took it task to see what the Muswell Hill branch could offer me as compensation and an apology. Instead I was greeted by a Manager who has abandoned her role, clearly hiding in the office. I shop here every week and I've seen her face twice (once when she served me in the summer and the second time when I complained). Her attitude was neither helpful nor a good service. I was very disgruntled and challenged the hygiene of the shop and neither did I receive an apology, all I got was a refund. They filed paperwork regarding the incident which will be sent to Head Office and neither do I expect to get an answer! The manager told me to contact 'Sean', who's Sean?? Shouldn't he be contacting me in order to stop me from contacting the council.
Here is where the crux lies....I am passionate about good food, for months the level of delivery of cooking the food has dropped and this isn't just Muswell Hil, I've experienced this at Tottenham Court Road premises as well. Apparently, Head Office request the food is prepared elsewhere and only cooked on the premises of each shop with temperature guidelines from Head office. The food looks dry and sometimes it is sold burnt. I have challenged the staff and said you cannot sell food in that state and the response I got was, 'It would be a shame to throw it out'. NO! This is poor service, I've stopped eating the spelt lasagne because it is burnt and I get diarrhea from it. Does no one at head office visit the premises and see the food looks sad and over cooked, why are the temperatures of the food so high?!
I'm sad to say, I will no longer be shopping at Planet Organic because of the lesser quality of food and the lack of customer service from Management. I have spent thousands of pounds over the years and I am no longer willing to pay into the company.
Sean, if you're reading this, you may want to ask your staff to wear nets on their hair and cover them with your caps to avoid a hygiene disaster. read more
