The owners and the staff are so patient and kind with all the kids. They're especially great with children that have ADHD. My 3 year and is now extremely verbal and potty trained and he won't be four until April. Both my boys have flourished because of the loving environment here. The owners go out of their way to do really fun outings with the kids when the weather is nice. Last year they took them to the garland theater and rented a limo for transportation. They also went to Cat Tailz, Blue Zoo, and the pumpkin patch just to name a few. They're always doing really fun art projects as well. As well as feeding the kids really nutritious and yummy meals throughout the day. They have a really nice outdoor area that is attached to the field behind Millwood kindergarten and sometimes they get permission to use it for the kids. Last year they did a really fun sports camp. They also threw a really fun water party and rented an inflatable waterslide! They also threw really fun holiday parties for the kids and the parents as well. The main reason I bring my kids here is because I can trust these people 100% with my kids. And I don't take that statement lightly because I hardly trust anyone. Some of the negative reviews you might see online have to do with people connected to the previous owners of the facility and parents that are part of the drama and do not speak to the integrity that I have seen for myself.

Our oldest daughter (who is now 5 years old) had been going to WLPG since she was one year old…read more Finding this daycare was a blessing because her current daycare only looked after infants up until their first birthday. WLPG was just down the road from our house, & was very affordable when compared to other childcare centers. For the most part, our daughter's experience while attending WLPG was positive. However, the negative experiences unfortunately outweighed the good. One of the big issues we had was while we were potty training. We did it over the course of a four-day weekend, & were very explicit with our instructions when she returned to daycare. They were not unreasonable directions either. If she was exhibiting signs that she needed to go potty ("potty dance"), then take her to the toilet. I guess that their definition of "unreasonable" differs from ours because she was constantly coming home wet. What's interesting is that she would rarely ever have an accident at home. She quickly became adept at telling us she had to go. It was only at daycare where she had accidents. We had to talk to WLPG's owner, Nyla, multiple times about this frustration. This went nowhere. Nor did our conversations with staff members. When we picked her up from daycare to find that she had an accident again, we'd ask whoever was working in that room what happened. They never knew; it was always, "Well, I just recently got here & the morning teacher didn't mention anything." Apparently, no one ever talks to anyone. Then it turned to cell phones. Many of the teachers (teenage-early twenties girls) would constantly have their cellphones out instead of watching the children. Sometimes, our daughter would recant an example of how her teacher let her watch videos on her phone. Again, talks with Nyla that went nowhere. Some teachers also had personal visitors with them at daycare. These visitors (usually males, probably boyfriends) were mingling with our daughter as well as the other children. They were not staffed by WLPG so we never had any idea as to whether they were background checked. More conversations, no action. Now recently, we took her out of daycare while her Mom was on maternity leave with our newest baby girl. The expectation (which was clearly outlined prior to going on leave) was that she'd return to WLPG in July; the leave began in May. At the end of May, my wife went in to talk to Nyla about adding our baby to the daycare, but instead learned that WLPG was getting rid of their baby room. Not only that, they were also no longer accepting school-agers unless they had a sibling also going to WLPG. Nyla was going to allow our baby to attend up until the end of the year (which was when the baby room was officially closing). This should have also meant that our oldest would be able to stay through EOY, but Nyla explained that they were "...full for the summer." This means that Nyla actually GAVE AWAY our oldest's spot without first speaking with us. There was no room for confusion on their part with what the plan was. I officially collected my oldest girl's belongings today, & expressed my frustration to some of the staff members when they said they were going to miss her. Next month, she will begin attending daycare at Northeast Youth Center which is about the same price & included far more activities & development for her than WLPG ever did. We are very excited for this & can't wait to start. It's unfortunate that we had such a HORRIBLE experience with WLPG & their owner, Nyla. The way were treated at the end (& really throughout our daughter's time there) was ridiculous, uncalled for, & unprofessional. I would not recommend parents take their children to Where Little People Grow.

Anyway at the end of this summer, Logan starts kindergarten and I am so thankful to Just Imagine for morphing his education while his parentals have to work. We are young parents, so it has taken longer to get all the ducks in a row of our life and for a while we were bouncing around jobs, apartments, and daycares. In the last 4 years we found a home we have been in since 2012 - which is a blessing. It took us a while to find the perfect preschool and now here we are. The structure is amazing. The whole entire school is decorated and matches the learning and fun that each child gets to experience every day. He has grown through a couple classrooms and has made friends, knows his colors, the alphabet and can count to 20. They go outside every day and have a daily schedule visible for parents to see and understand. They do field trips to the movies and the splash pad, and allow the teachers the freedom and flexibility to develop curriculum, get to know the parents, and also know things about the students. I am so appreciative that they get to know them on a personal level and I am so happy to trust them with my child while I get through the workweek. A very communicative staff, an amazing and understanding owner, and a brilliant amount of potential all in one.

I called, and it was one of the staff's phone numbers, and she told me that the daycare is temporarily closed for an unknown reason and they don't know the time they will open. I didn't go to work for more than a week. After that, I decided to keep my kids home until I found good daycare. I lost my work schedule because of them. Moms do not take your kids there. They don't care at all. I don't recommend it to anyone.

I was initially hesitant about daycare but these people really care about kids and doing awesome job! Can you pay less for an in-home daycare? Probably, but it's nice to know that they have a ton of resources available as well as experience. We love that there is someone who cooks meals for the kids. They have great communication. I love that even if there's a minor incident which happens when you have a toddler we get documentation and explanations of what happened and even photographs. All in all I feel like our child is safe here and we really appreciate all the staff who seek to build healthy relationships with the kids not just babysit them.

The first day, I walked in and one of the staff was yelling at the kids like it was military school. The next week, another parent took my daughters shoes home, and my daughter was sent home without shoes. No apology. Multiple times my daughter came home with dirty underwear (as if they didn't wipe her butt) and a horrible red rash. Of the next couple of months, my daughter started becoming reluctant of going to school. Came to the point that every time we would leave to go there, she would start crying and saying she didn't like that school. I talked to her main care taker as well as wrote another email to the director of her behavior. There was no response from the director and one of the staff said she would try to help. A month ago they made my daughter eat lunch and spend half the day with a different class, none of which was brought to my knowledge till my daughter kept crying saying she didn't want to go to the 'big side'. I wrote yet another email to the director and she didn't apologize for anything. Just basically said that it was close to her moving. Every time I went to that school, the director was in her office, didn't bother to greet anyone, when I did see her in passing she acted stuck up. The directors set the tone of their staff, and it reflected horribly here. My daughter isn't the only one who would throw a tantrum in being dropped off either. When I gave my notice, the directors assistant was there and all she asked was if I was caught up in my payments. No apology or asking if something was wrong. Even wrote an email to the director and nothing... now my daughter goes to a new daycare, one week in and she LOVES it, every time we leave she says she likes it and gives them al hugs.
