We were staying in town for a couple of days while we are on a pretty long RV trip and this planet fitness was convenient for us. While it is a smaller location and super busy, we were both able to get in our workouts. This is one of the planet fitness locations that still has a 30 minute circuit, which quite honestly we didn't see too many people using that particular room. Most locations have turned that room into additional floor mat space as well as lift benches. If I lived here, that would be a huge suggestion that could be made to this particular facility. There is literally very, very little floor space to do any type of mat work as well as the weight benches were incredibly busy. The staff were super friendly and do a great job keeping the place clean as well as the black card benefits for the Hydro massage was awesome to be able to use. It is funny that this location is right next to a Cheech and Chong's dispensary, lol. We appreciate planet fitness so we can stay fit while on the road. Uncomfortable going. Not a lot of equipment to share. Judgy. Uncomfortable. No daycare. The smell when you walk outside isn't great but that prolly not the company's fault. You are required to go in to cancel your membership. In person. No other way to cancel. I went a few times and it was never comfortable. Took awhile once for the people behind the counter to even notice me. Several machines I wanted to use were out of order but there was no sign on them. I just gave up early the last time I was there after the 5th machine, 3rd type of machine I went to wasn't working. The treadmills were not working at all. Disappointing overall. read more

Normally I find the staff here to be very professional and user friendly. Unfortunately today I ran into a extremely rude reception clerk who acted as if my question was a disturbance while he was snacking and well let's just say the expression on his face left me in feeling that my question to him was stupid. His response to my question was extremely snarky as he stood behind the front desk munching on a cookie and talking at the same time. I find this to be so unprofessional. I'm trying my best to keep my membership but my attitude normally is I take my business where it's wanted and I experience nothing but positive energy. Stopping in from out of town. This is one of the nicest gyms I've been to. Isaiah at the front counter was really awesome and professional. This gym has everything you could imagine. Free weights, cables , all cardio machines. And most importantly very clean gym. I also came at a peak time and wasn't overly crowded. A+ for customer service and equipment options! read more

In regards to the older reviews of this particular location; the showers are now open the staff was very polite and helpful and the gym itself is clean and I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a good workout and the ability to clean up afterwards ! Aaron B read more

Gym is always jam packed when I go and one time I was waiting 30 mins just for a bench, I work on the weekends and it's hard getting a good workout in when they close at 7 and I get off at 5, it gets the job done but it could be better maybe if they were 24/7 this gym would be 5 stars so I could go late at night when no one's really there. read more

These people are SCAMMERS! I have not been to the gym since COVID. Through out the event they have STOLEN money out of my account. Just yesterday they charged me my monthly fees. When I called in they said I had to come in person and give up my membership OR write them a letter! WTH? They did not have the curtesy to call or write. When and if I decide to go back to the gym, I will not be going back to this one. The last time I went there their equipment was all broke down! I will report this to the BBB too. It's not the $21 they stole but heaven knows how many other people they scammed! We will find out!!! read more

ZERO stars to the NTH degree!!!!! WORST place ever. I was taken here by a friend in the area who had a membership here because PF claimed to be a 24/7 operation. Not once in his 2 month membership was he ever able to gain 24/7 access. When he asked the girl who claimed to be "in charge", she stated in the most condescending tone that "the gym can change options at any given time without 'consulting' members" and then laughed. It's a bait & switch game. I actually watched this girl attempt to sign a new member & told her "there's no need to read the contract, it's the same as the other gym you used here." WRONG. I caught the lady & told her the PF contract REMOVES the clients rights and restricts what it cannot take away. Just in my 18 minutes inside the facility, I witnessed &/or had the following done to me: I was immediately harassed by staff that "I had to have my own membership & they could process it immediately if I had a credit card." Three customers asked for a manager ( 2 claimed that their numerous emails to management were never answered). My friend told me that management is NEVER available and staff are condescending & rude beyond belief. Every time he had an issue, which is routinely, he's told he has to send management an email. This place does not accept terminations via email, yet complaints HAVE to be emailed to a manager who NEVER responds. It's a shock this place is surviving & only doing so for exorbitant charges & fees that continue to go up. Why do you think they ask for membership termination in writing. They know that it's going to take a while for you to get back to them so they can bill you for another month of crappy service. The bathrooms were filthy & showers inoperable, the equipment is not being sanitized between uses & the staff claim they "don't get paid enough to clean up after slobs". A great place to go if you want to catch something. As a fitness professional for 20+ years, this has got to be the worst facility with broken down equipment I've EVER seen - a home gym is better than this place on any day. I was given a day pass to another local gym that is far superior to this dump & for costs much less. Do not listen if management responds, this is NOT a good place. If you want to do something positive for the Clovis community, cancel your membership to this place & put them out of business. read more

The showers at this location have been closed. The Planet Fitness app should tell you this before you drive 60 miles out of the way to workout and shower. You are also required to wear a mask at all times, even when working out. Edit: this is my first negative experience with Planet Fitness since I became a member. The PF app will let you know what the mask requirements are for the club you are wanting to go to. Is it really too hard to add an additional line that lets traveling people know that the showers are closed? read more

If I could give a zero, I would give a zero. This location and it's management team have no care about you or your account with them. They do care about not researching or providing refunds when they are rightly due. You would think they have trained their employees to properly handle a simple account cancellation. Instead they will condescendingly mock that your experience (asking an account be cancelled) never happened and keep your money. They have more than likely overcharged others for accounts that should have been closed and made it difficult for you to get your money back by saying they don't have a paper trail, when in fact they don't look hard enough or probably don't look at all at the paperwork they improperly manage at this location. Maybe this is how they make their money, since the accounts are so cheap to get! I hope you never have to deal with manager Edgardo who actually rolled his eyes at me when I showed up for my black card room appointment 5 minutes early and I was a little irritated they had given my spot to someone else, when I made the effort to show up early on the sign in sheet. This is the nicest gym and cleanest so far that I have seen in Clovis. Their prices are pretty good I got the black club membership which lets you use the tanning, massage chairs, workout at all other planet fitness's around the country etc for a little over $20 a month. I did get that pricing through one of their specials however. They aren't as bad as their commercials lead you to believe, as I have seen a lot of people using weights etc. and have not once heard their lunk alarm thing go off, with the exception of before they close for the night. Hours are decent only thing I wish they would do is go to a full 24 hr gym rather than the Monday to Thursday they have now. Other than that maybe a few more free weights and a few ab wheels. Overall, definitely recommend since you can push yourself to new levels here and not have to worry about getting kicked out like the commercials lead you to believe. read more
