I arrived on the 15th of January to sign for another month-to-month subscription. Start up fee was somewhere around $77 after everything. A tad expensive - and I had brought it up to the person working there. She had offered to have me pay majority portion up front, and the remaining at a later date. Cool! Very convenient. I had been asked if I wanted to be on a plan that was consistent with the 15th of the month to bill me $40. Perfect! She then set me up for a Road Map Consultation. Wasn't 100% of what that meant (however, it was easy to guess it had something to do with setting goals, so why not? Sure, put me down for Friday at 7:00 p.m.) I arrive to the consultation and meet with the Trainer there. We start to go over what knowledge I have regarding Nutrition, Exercise, Goals I have, etc. This is where it got weird: He was about to schedule me for sessions with a personal trainer and never mentioned a price!. Luckily, I'm in sales and I can sniff out one brewing from a mile away. So I asked : "Okay, how much will this cost me?" The man started to chuckle, and said something along the lines of "Well your in sales, I mine as well tell you" (keep in mind, I'm paraphrasing but it was something along those lines). If I recall correctly, the cheapest option was 4-Sessions for one month at like $120. $120! That was never brought up in conversation. In sales, this is called unethical. I brushed this off though. The real kicker was today (02/01) - Keep in mind this is exactly 15 days after I paid $50, of the $77 that I needed to start-up. My account received a debit of $67.64. - $40 membership fee - $27.64 of the remaining start-up fee. Okay, so I'm thinking "Hey, this is supposed to come out on the 15th!?" (Still in a decent mood at this point) Call once, twice, three-times, now four. Send an email after the first call. Send a Facebook message at 1:30 p.m. - finally got a message. Basically, it explained that we're not in the Gym on Thursday's until 2:00 p.m. However, not one attempt to reply via email before then. (Getting a tad angry) Finally, they start calling me. When I answer, a highly unenthusiastic unfriendly voice asks what my issue is. I re-explain myself. Instead of working with the customer, I pretty much got told that I signed for a billing cycle that started the 1st of every month, when I asked for the 15th of every month. Every thing I brought up in our conversation that was a concern of mine, was answered with "You signed for these terms - I have them sitting right in front of me." No attempts to work with me, or resolve this issue. She clearly didn't even want to work with me, or resolve this issue. I had to hang up the phone. I was livid, and clearly still am. I want to continue coming here due to the convenience of 24/7 access, and my friends all go here as well. I planned on purchasing protein here, and eventually signing up for a personal training session - I really don't want to leave. These matters need to be resolved though, and I'm warning anyone who wants to sign up here to keep your guard up.

It's wild noone has reviewed Crunch yet. I joined from the get-go and split my time between Crunch…read moreand another gym. I'll start off with what I don't like about Crunch: -They don't have disinfectant wipes to clean the machines. They only have paper towels and spray bottles -The locker room is small and the lockers aren't cleaned often enough -The trainers are annoying. Most aren't friendly Now, the reason Crunch gets 5-stars is because it's graded on a curve; they charge $9.99 a month which is ridiculously cheap. They have a lot of benches and dumbbells which is covenant. In general they have most of the machines I like to use and they're good at fixing any machine that breaks. There are a ton of cardio machines. The good thing about the men's locker room is it's mostly clean (minus the lockers, as mentioned). The showers are usually pretty clean and the bathroom area isn't bad for all the traffic they get. Front-desk staff (the non-trainers) range from nice to ignoring you. Not a big deal. The gym-goers are mostly younger people (that makes me sound old) and pretty much everyone is polite. It's seriously amusing seeing when any of them take selfies using their cameras and tripods in the class fitness room. I'm trying to think of what I'm missing... the place isn't bad. The parking lot of often full and I avoid the super busy times but even when the lot is packed I can still get a workout in without much waiting for machines.

Leaving Jess and her team behind was one of the hardest parts of my move, and it immediately showed me just how exceptional that experience truly was. Jess and her team completely changed my mind set about going to the gym and working out. I was in my early 40s when I first started working out at Whole Fitness and, until I found Jess, I had never been able to stick to any kind of fitness routine. I was at my heaviest, totally overwhelmed, and honestly at my wits' end. From day one, Jess put me at ease and made me feel at home. Whole Fitness isn't a typical gym and that's what makes it so special. It's a boutique, private environment where you never feel self-conscious, intimidated, or uncomfortable. I always felt safe, cared for, and supported. The trainers and the other clients became an extension of my family, and leaving that behind was much harder than I expected. After moving, I tried to recreate that experience and quickly realized just how rare Jess and her team are. I won't turn this into a complaint about other trainers, but it became clear that what Whole Fitness offers isn't easy to find. I eventually stopped trying to replace it and started doing virtual training with Jess instead because I'm simply not willing to settle for less than the best. If you're looking for a place that truly supports you, meets you where you are, and helps you build something sustainable, this is it. Jess and her team are exceptional and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Today I participated in my wife's training session with Jess and she really made me feel the burn. She showed my how to isolate particular muscle groups that's I never have before. I always thought I was doing shoulder workouts like side raises and shoulder press correctly, but she gave me tips that really helped me activate the muscle groups with less weight than I usually use. She also made the workout fun and threw in some movements that I definitely haven't done and really challenged me. Since my wife started with Jess I've definitely seen the change in her and would recommend her to anybody looking for a trainer that really knows what they're doing.
