Arrived, checked in, and brought to the locker room to find my locker with my name and robe and slippers inside. After getting undressed and putting on my robe, I found my way to the waiting room and received a mimosa. This was the perfect touch. I needed this. The room was nice a dim and again, zen! I wanted to fall asleep. I was called back by my massage therapist who knew exactly what to do when I told him my lower back hurt from that epidural shot...my back has never been the same since giving birth. He was a little chatty but it was okay lol. By the time I was falling to sleep it was time to get up. lol I went back to the waiting area and relaxed a bit more with another mimosa. I could not go to work in my condition, so I booked a 60-min deep tissue massage with Lauren at Body Art Day Spa and Hair Salon to try to relax the spasticity. Lauren was very knowledgeable about MS. I told her my goal was to go to work the next day and not suffer in pain. She addressed the seriously spastic areas on my back, neck, and shoulders with cupping. I felt immediate relief. I had never had cupping before, and I was surprised with the instant results it provided. The room was decorated for Halloween, but in a cozy way. The vibe was definitely relaxing. This morning, I woke up feeling 10 years younger. I was not in pain like I have woken up with for the past 7 years. I went for a couples…read moremassage with my partner and the staff literally went out of their way to make me feel unwelcome. They were intentionally rude and it was such a horrible experience that I ended the massage early. Then they failed to credit my deposit. I was so upset and just wanted to get away from this horrible place and these unkind people that I just allowed them to keep my deposit. So, they took advantage of me. Beware of this place.
