The staff was nice, but i felt they just did not teach at the right level. My sons either felt overwhelmed or bored. The came back from class very frustrated. I might give them a try this Fall downtown. However, we purchased a Living Social coupon for a 1-on-1 lesson and were assigned Maurice Maxwell, who was a small forward for UMass. Maurice was nice, patient, and very knowledgeable. Indeed, my son who is 13 and plays video games morning to night, by the end of the session actually noticeably acquired skills (including cross over, looking up while dribbling to the basket, shooting from further away on a layup and defending against someone). I highly recommend Maurice, who actually made an appointment and met us a couple of blocks away from our house in Brooklyn Heights, which was great. Thanks Maurice and Basketball Stars of NY for getting a couch potato off the couch, up, moving, and actually enjoying playing basketball. He looks forward to our next session.

In our situation, finding that level of understanding and compassion hasn't always been easy, so it means more to us than we can put into words. The staff's support and dedication have made such a positive difference for our family. Knowing our child is in a safe, nurturing, and encouraging environment each day has lifted a tremendous weight off our shoulders. It's truly one less stressful thing to worry about. We deeply appreciate everything the team does to make this possible. Thank you for creating such a special place for kids and families.

I never thought there practices would treat community members so poorly. Baruch Hashem. I have also volunteered for Dorot, where I have delivered food items to elderly Jewish community members. I have spent time with Jewish elders and Rabbis during their times of hardship when I was able to walk. I volunteer for Repair the World, which is a Jewish organization committed to helping impoverished Jews across America. I have campaigned for peace in Israel after the October attacks on many occasions. I also have helped with TALMA, a Jewish organization that travels to Israel to help people displaced by war. Furthermore, I have volunteered for the JCC Harlem and JCC Manhattan to support Jewish programming. I am very disappointed. Baruch Hashem.

I was a guest of a member during the 18-inch snow storm, so I wore my $500 dollar suede Danner lights (Made in the USA) to manage the snow. Upon entry, I was informed by the staff that, due to the suede being too light, it looked too much like Timberland boots, which are banned. I was professionally whisked to a backroom, where I was offered to wear black loafers 3 sizes too large if I wanted to make my appointment. I spent the rest of my time skipping through the venue in order to not trip over myself, wearing massively oversized shoes. I would have been okay with this footwear restriction if it was universally enforced, but there were plenty of people in the club wearing duck boots, metal hook leather hiking boots, and even the same type of boots of a slightly darker shade. Apparently, the shoe shade restriction was not something members are aware about (the no sneakers restriction is well known). I have previously been a guest here with positive experiences. However, today I was put in an illogically unsafe experience, forced to wear loaner shoes 3 sizes too large, because $500 lighter suede boots are deemed less classy than duck boots for being too"Timberland like" during a snow storm.

Best yoga studio I found in NYC so far. The yoga rooms and sitting areas are also very quiet, spacious and serene. Exactly what you would want and expect in a proper yoga studio. The classes are also so much better compare the the others I tried in NYC. Not even equinox or humming puppy can compare as they are always crowded since they try to fit as much people as they can in one room, many times in equinox or humming puppy my neighbors finger tips or sweat would fly by and hit me during yoga moves and the bathrooms are always filthy due to the high numbers of people. Even in Pure Yoga UES, you might get a bit over crowded sometimes, but so far the UWS has been great for me, always clean, serene and lots of space to stretch, meditate and just breathe. The only downside is that it is a bit pricy and often don't offer promotions or membership discounts like the other yoga places, however if you are seeking for a fantastic yoga experience I would say it's too worth it if you are in the UWS area and don't have a yoga studio in your home.

Well,, don't feel too bad for me cause, I immediately hit it off with my new Kickball friends.. (Who turned out to be much more "athletic" at the bar than on the field). I figured I just got lucky cause those friends quickly became like my new family here... But since then, Ive joined Volleyball... Then the Social Sampler, then Soccer and Bowling... And as it turns out,,everyone is great! Its like Zog screens out all of the knuckleheads....so everyone is so cool and down to earth. Anyone who plays these sports know they can get as competitive as you want... But I consider myself to be more like a professional intramural athlete.. A guy who prefers a beer and friend over going to the gym so this was a perfect way for me to meet new people. I joined all fun leagues cause I just wanted to show off I still got a little left in the tank when needed.. Then hit the bar. Honestly, I think I got super lucky to meet sooo many good people in such a short amount of time... Thanks Zog for making a "new guy in town's" transition to this city so easy... I owe you guys a beer...

They have contests at the post-game bar meet ups for things like the most team spirit and social media love where you can win credits for future games or more importantly, a bar tab. They update their rain hotline instead of making you come to the field, only to cancel the game. They have a professional photographer that comes to the game to take action shots. Their refs are actually friendly. They hold games at a reasonable hour and not 10:00 at night. They don't allow bunting. Most importantly, their fields are not in the middle of crime ridden areas. ZogSports was fun because I got to play kickball with some great friends, but they run a really poor organization. It's a shame that this is one of the only adult sports leagues in Hoboken.
