One piece I had was worth $2k retail real gold and silver and at auction it sold for less than $100 how does that even make any sense?!! Another was a $400 crystal & two $600/each furniture. They told me based on what it was in regards to one of the items that it would probably fetch a couple hundred if not more. I truly do not understand I thought the whole purpose of auctions was to make money not give your stuff away and incur a huge financial loss in potential profit. You can request an amount you need to at least reach but if it doesn't sell you pay 10%. Want advice sell the items yourself on EBay at least you have more control and a far more diverse audience. Do not recommend but that choice is yours to make but be willing to not make nearly as much as you expect.

Richard Hill has twice worked on an antique, Amsterdam Tall Clock…read morethat was inherited from my husband's family in The Netherlands and which dates to about 1770-85. He cleaned the workings of our clock and re-silvered its face the first time, and did a superb job. The second time the case of our clock had dried out. Richard took it to his workshop in Holliston and took it apart, regluedn it, moisturized it, oiled and waxed it, so that the wood has come to life and back to its former glory. He tightened the case and replaced a few missing parts. We couldn't be happier with the professional work he has done on it. Richard is very knowledgeable about antique clocks and shows a great care for them. We highly recommend his work!
