Ok, it's my first day in Nice and the lounge is about 40% full and the sun is setting. I was just turned away because they are closing. They close at 430 the host told me- the hours are published till 5. There is a sunset about to happen and no one will leave- but I couldn't get a glass of wine? RIDICULOUS! read more

This is a great spot to get a umbrella and reclining chairs. There is a fee but it's totally worth the price of admission. Enjoy the water and soak up the sun. Grab one of their famous cocktails and relax. You got one life to live, enjoy. read more

Their salads (Niçoise, Burrata and Caesar) were quite good, as was the service, considering the fact that one server worked the entire beach all day! Viktor took good care of us serving drinks. We chose this beach of the many along the promenade based on reviews and pictures. We got there before 10:00 and already a line was formed, but I was able to get a front row bed. Beds and umbrellas were reasonably priced. Lunch and drinks on the beach were great, even ordered a bottle of champagne. Setting was beautiful. They had some nice music going. We left around 5:00, I think later in the evening is when the music and party really get going, but my wife and I had a very relaxing time here swimming and getting some sun. They have good clean facilities to change clothes and rinse off. Very pleasant time at this beach. read more

Warning Tourists!! Went here to celebrate my 50th bday. We ordered a vodka martini and a margarita. Got a gin drink and a vodka margarita of sorts. We didn't bother saying anything because we already had a sense that the server wouldn't do anything about it. My husband drank both drinks because I don't like vodka or gin. My husband ordered the Shrimp Risotto and could only eat the shrimp because the rice was not cooked. At the time of closing-out the server asked how our meal was. We told him that the Risotto was raw and he said, "sorry about that-I'll let the chef know". Our bill came and even though the risotto was not touched other than eating the 4 shrimp, no discount was offered for a poorly executed dish! Also the server was rude and unfriendly from start to finish. My meal was Gnocchi and it too was not great. Don't waste your $ on this place! We later went to a really nice bar, to be unnamed only because the servers shared, once we told them of our earlier experience, that the restaurant is no good. read more

The Quick: Go for sunset! This is one of the beach clubs that stays open latest, as long as you get a drink and sit in the lounge area you can stay through Sunset. The bathrooms are very clean, the inside is trendy, but it's all about that gorgeous view. I really enjoyed their rosè and drank multiple glasses LOL. Don't waste your time coming here. They advertise the beds being €35 but it's €7 to use the UMBRELLA that is already there at your seat and €5 for a towel. The umbrella is rusty and old and my beach lounger was literally broken and would be difficult to adjust. Also everyone's loungers and practically sardined together. The servers are not present at all and you have to get up and find them to order something when they should be walking around the loungers. The bathroom had only one stall and there was no toilet seat it was literally gone. They were not very nice and the menu for the loungers is so much smaller and worse than the menu they advertise. I would recommend visiting any other beach club because for the price you're basically just paying to sit on a cushion. Also, some lady brought her dog and carried it into the water, where it proceeded to defecate in the water, and she did not clean it up, so we saw dog excrement floating around while we were in the water. At that point, we were so over this entire experience so we got up to leave after two hours. We told the employee and he said "well ladies, the ocean itself is not clean" I know that the ocean is not clean, but if I am paying €€ for a private beach club I expect there to not be excrement floating around in their private section of water. I don't think I would have enjoyed Nice as much if we hadn't splurged a little to be at Plage Beau Rivage. Nice beach is gorgeous but the rocks made it a difficult experience for those of us used to sad beaches. Beau Rivage is a private beach club with padded walkways for guest, beautiful lounge chairs, umbrellas, and food and drink service. You don't have to worry about losing your spot or about being robbed if you go into the water, and the whole place has a really luxurious feel to it. It was nearly full when we went because we arrived in the afternoon. They were so accommodating however and offered my three friends and I a huge, round beach bed, and they gave us the umbrella for free. The servers also brought us a table for our drinks and large yellow lounge chair so we could switch off if we didn't all fit on the bed. The whole experience with fries, margaritas, and our spot was less than a 150 for all of us I would say. We paid to be there as long as we wanted so we didn't feel pressed for time or anything. I forgot to mention the private bathrooms and showers that are included in your chair fee. Loved it and will return when we go back to Nice! read more

The staff are exceptionally polite, warm and friendly. Particularly-- Mouss, he went above and beyond to provide amazing service. Here's what he did for us: 1. Got a medic to care for a wound that my fiancée sustained during the Ironman triathlon. The medic came to bandage her toe while we lounge. 2. He noticed we left our glasses on the lounge chair after left and he sprinted to catch us. 3. He made sure we sat and laid on something on the lounge chairs because as he put it" you just never know who's been sitting on this chairs!" Mouss and other staff took care of us, they delivered food and made sure we were having a good time. Highly recommend this place. read more

Good place to grab a quick bite but with great quality. It is relaxing enough to enjoy the outside views when weather allows, so why not get one of their specially made drinks? Lounge area is amazing to watch the ocean waves and see time fly by. Staff was exceptional with their indications, even though mediterranean cuisine tends to be tricky with different spices. The public beaches are rocky so who wants to sit on one with a towel? For two you pay about 50 Euros for two lounge chairs, cushy ones, 2 towels and an umbrella. Pricey but I think worth it. You can leave your chair and go for a massage or fish "pedicure", they have service to your beach chair and a bar and restaurant on site so its a good way to spend the day. You need to reserve the restaurant since it fills up fast. The restaurant is quite good as well. We ate there for lunch twice. My first day salads were better than the second but it is so convenient to eat there than to go out somewhere else. read more

I reserved a cabana for the following day. When I showed up at 10 am they couldn't find any reservation. There was a long line. After we finally got to the cabana (which cost between 80-150€), there was no waiter in sight. Five more couples were seated in the cabanas, also never got service. We're high paying customers, we deserve something? I finally got so fed up, there isn't a manager in site, I complained to the host. He said what do you want? I said it's not just me, no one had been over to our whole section, not once. I came back and shared the good news with the fellow cabana goers, they all applauded. Finally we had one round of service. Need a drink? Forget it. Hours went by. Again, I had to get up. I went to the bar. They told me I had to use my server, I told them our section had no server. In the EIGHT hours I stayed there, from 10 to 6, I saw my server a total of TWO, times both when I prompted him. Cabana renters are the type that want to spend $. We want bottle service, we never even saw a bottle menu, only a small lunch/beverage menu. Another couple came paid 89 for a cabana and water and left after an hour because of zero service. Not even toilet paper. Hello??? (Hire more staff if you don't have enough servers. This was ridiculous mismanagement. Fire your manager because they're no where in site, and have no clue how to run the place.) The drinks we did get were delicious, or maybe they just seemed to be because we waited four hours for them. The food was okay, nothing spectacular. I only booked this place because it is the only place that offers cabanas and not just lounge chairs. The atmosphere is wonderful, high end, and relaxing. If you're looking for atmosphere, I give it a 5. If you're looking for service, I give it a 1. I've never had service this bad, ever. read more

This review concerns only the restaurant portion of Plage Beau Rivage. My party picked this restaurant based on two things: the extreme proximity to the beach and the availability of a vegetable penne dish on the posted menu for a vegetarian diner in our group. The penne dish, though posted clearly on both menus on the boardwalk, was mysteriously not available once we were seated. Bummer. The experience had its ups and downs. The food is pricey with middling-to-small portions. The entrées, including the excellent purple artichoke salad, were large enough for a meal; the plats were compromised of tiny mains (e.g. a single 3 oz fillet) and the "roasted vegetables" were in fact comprised of a bland plum tomato sliced and stacked with wafer-thin, undercooked slices of zucchini. What an abuse of French produce! Meanwhile, many servers, busboys, and even managers ignored our party, leaving us underserved while schmoozing with regulars who arrived later but were served much earlier than us. Our own server was attentive and apologetic and clearly frustrated by the lack of support from his colleagues, but he couldn't make up for their deficiencies all by himself. The space is nice, though, and you really can't beat the ocean view. read more

Had the concierge at my hotel (Hyatt Palais de Mediteranee) call and book front-row chairs a week in advance. When I arrived, they did not have my booking, and I was told by the concierge later that this is typical behavior from this place. However, I booked chairs for the next day while I was there, and they wrote it down. When I showed up the next day, the incredibly rude manager feigned ignorance and once again did not give us our booking. The staff was friendly enough and the food was good, but there are plenty of other beach options like Le Galet where you won't encounter such awful treatment. Spare yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. read more

We spent a day at Plage Beau Rivage in August. It was a really great day. We rented chairs and had a really relaxing time. The staff was very friendly. I went here on a business trip and first had drinks around 7 PM. We were helped quickly and they accomodated our party with drinks and seating. Service was efficient and quick, so no complaints here. After having drinks we moved to the restaurant part of the establishment and had a nice dinner. Quality was OK, but not top notch. The waitress who served us could have been a bit more friendlier. She was a bit stressed due to the size of our party (13 people), but this didn't have any impact on the speed and service. Location is A++ though.
